I would bet on an output level higher on your new setup ("more bass", "more percussive").
The best way to test this is to do a "null test" if possible.

Re: Are there any QUALITY bagpipe plugins for Linux?
I stumbled upon this (windows) plugin and have yet to try it but it sounded pretty good: Quilcom SIM BP, don't know if it works with yabridge though.

Re: Nice article on Flatpak, Snap, AppImage, Docker and Steam
Working in IT, I'm used to toy with containers. Of the five systems mentioned I'm only familiar with Snap and Docker but I can add LXC, Podman and Singularity in the bag. They are everywhere in IT for the simple reason that they make things simple and efficient provided that you have a certain level...

Re: Plugin collections in kxstudio: which are hot and which are not?
Sounds like you did not even read my post? :-) That was point, haven't tested really, and in fact, haven't had ever all of these installed. At the time of installation of my previous installation yeah 2018 there was no such amount of bundles available. Well, yeah, sorry for that, I was in a hurry a...

Re: Plugin collections in kxstudio: which are hot and which are not?
Hi! What are your needs? Mastering, live processing, producing? Have you already tested them all thoroughly? Do you need all the 20+ EQs that are in this list? I would go from installing collections to installing only a few cherry picked plugins that are good at what they are doing and suits your wo...

Re: [IMPORTANT] Can We Get an Update On Firewall Configuration?
Hi! Security is a complex and deep subject. What would work for someone wouldn't for another depending on their installation/use case and this also depends on what is already available/what you're willing to spend (in terms of time and money). It can be as simple a ticking a box in your router confi...

Re: Do any serious music enthusiasts use Linux?
Professionals producers for pop stars, both aiming at commercial revenues, are only a subset of serious music enthusiasts. There are also scientists/researchers in the DSP/audio field and I bet a lot of them are using Linux most of the time. There are also archivists/sound restoration techs whose ne...

Re: Hidden FLOSS gems
Oh My Zsh for those who are regularly using a terminal (and probably bash). It makes a lot of things easier like bookmarking folders and jumping directly into them from wherever you are (jump plugin), has a nice auto-completion and can be customized and extended at will to suits your needs. edit: w...

Re: CLAP
In relation to the biggest existing libre audio plugin format, maybe I or one can find the time to go through KVR threads etc. to figure out the fuller gist of purported issues CLAP folk have with LV2 again, aside from the FUD element, and be critical about those points, but I don't have the energy...

Re: CLAP
My intuition tells me that VST3 locked devs mind into porting their VST2 to VST3 "as is", not looking for cross platform compatibility. From what I read so far, the general opinion is of course "why another standard?" followed by "this seems cool nevertheless" and "...

Re: CLAP
If U-He wanted to really do something useful for open source plugins they would contribute to LV2 to add features they may believe are missing. :!: my 2 eurocents :!: I agree but sometime starting from scratch is necessary. Try to have a look at the jungle of programming languages. Following your t...
