thanks! i read these but dont quite get it. The launchpad works as a native alsa midi device under later kernels and alsa builds. No need to compile drivers or any such thing. if it is supported why doesnt it show up in qjackctl under alsa midi? how do i connect pure data to it? thats why im trying ...

novation launchpad running anyone?
hi all ... im want to use my novation launchpad to control pure data patches via midi. cant get it to show up in qjackctrl or in any daw. ive read it should run but dont know how. anyone has the solution? thanks!

ha i think i solved the pd/jack problem:

you have to use "callbacks" whatever that means. apparently you post stuff to the forum and it solves itself

that sounds like a good idea, i think 2x2 is enough. this is just for drum machines or polysynths. thanks!
