Re: Another graphics issue - Gigabyte GTX1050ti
I only consider using a "RT" kernel if it's part of the main repo, as it is for Manjaro. Manjaro doesn't have a lowlatency kernel in the repo but they do have the RT kernel...whatever they mean by "RT" anyway. It seems to perform similarly to the lowlatency kernel in the Ubuntu r...

Re: Another graphics issue - Gigabyte GTX1050ti
If you installed a low latency or RT kernel (depending on the distro, and your case with AVlinux that's the default kernel), and the nvidia proprietary drivers, there's a possibility the distro's software manager didn't pull in the required RT module for the specific version of the nvidia proprietar...

Re: Are cross platform projects possible?
Case 1 works. If the plugin is the same (same plugin name, same version number, same VST version) but compiled for a different OS, Reaper for each OS will know what plugin to use and recall the settings. Whether it's open source or not doesn't matter. If a plugin is a different version number it may...

Re: Dragonfly Reverb Bug
You know the rest of the details since we've been in communication about this, but my CPUs are: Intel Core i3-6300 AMD Ryzen 7 3700X (my main PC on which I've done most of the testing) I should add that the project has Hall on a buss with the dry set to zero. I don't know if that affects this or not...

Re: How to install LinuxSampler.
Just so you know, I wasn't claiming that DrumGizmo does anything more than LinuxSampler. I said it has a different appeal. For me the appeal is that it is simpler than using LinuxSampler for drums. If you think setting up LinuxSampler is easier, well I will leave that to you. :) I understand the dif...

Re: How to install LinuxSampler.
I didn't realize that SFZ would allow for many outputs. It may have been because I hadn't seen one with more than 2 outputs. Possibly also because documentation for SFZ and SF2 was sketchy at the time I was looking for it, and I may have conflated the two formats. As for making a kit for LinuxSample...

Re: How to install LinuxSampler.
I'm glad you like the kit! There are a couple more coming (also with round robins), using new samples from the same drummer (different drumkits), but this time without separate room/OH buses. A room sound is "baked in" to the recording, so it'll have fewer outputs. I've tried LinuxSampler ...

Re: How to install LinuxSampler.
Yes, I want it to be a sampler, Drumgizmo sounds unnatural, at least for the drumkits they have on their own homepage. While Linuxsampler works almost perfect DrumGizmo is a sampler. It may not have features of some other samplers since it's more about one-shot drum sounds (plus velocity layering, ...

Re: Gullfoss
To be clear: I didn't say this plugin wouldn't help you. But there are other things you can do, and you don't need to run up and down a billion floors to do it. It's possible that you're close to not needing something like this at all, with a bit more practice (or maybe some blankets on th...

Re: Gullfoss
That product is very interesting, however it doesn't negate the need for basic mixing skills. Learning to use equalizers and compressors effectively takes time. It took me a lot longer than some others. It would be nice if there were a perfect shortcut but there isn't. The good part of this is it do...

Re: Good compressor for mixbus
LSP compressor has a few different options for compression types. The dynamics processors in that set of plugins are very flexible. The Compressor alone is one of the most flexible I've used on any OS. The only thing which might make a person question their usefulness is that they're not specifical...

Re: LSP Multiband Compressor - Am I missing something ?
I just tested the stereo version of the plugin, and I notice this in "modern" mode but not in "classic" mode. Can you confirm it's in "modern" mode only as well (on your computer)? I have a GitHub account, so I can report the bug to them. Also what version of the plugin...
