Rosegarden's MIDI quantizing works work for me. Even I use it to make beat music with Ardour. :D

Yes, I use Ubuntu Mate 18.04 with KXstudio. It's very safe

Then of course you need to type it manually again. So it all sounds to me like it's working as intended, unless I misunderstand you. ALSA can recognize the device, but Cadence don't. Devices like this shouldn't always be handled by this way. I guess that Cadence owns a device list file. I may add u...

How to make cadence recognize a new usb audio device?

I bought an EZcap USB cassette capture . It's a USB audio input device which capture a cassette analog sound to digital audio ( By its ADC ) . I followed the method menioned in the post . By " arecord -l " I found it is hw:2. I made it work by setting it as input device : hw:2 in Cadence ....

Today I tested a fresh installing ,but by Ubuntu Mate 18.04 LTS (not beta). ... ... But Audacity ,Ardour,Hydrogen crashed with : free(): invalid pointer ... That is worrying. I use Debian on all other machines, but there is one xubuntu 16 LTS laptop that I'd like to upgrade. Is this still the case ...

The page is maintained by mewinehq-Vocaloid2. After wine 1.2 she "runs" very well. :) But... about its VSTI , it seems still no body tested it.

If I get it, it's not supposed to be a device for home recording but rather targeted at live music and video streaming. For that purpose I find the dock quite a good design because once the show is running you really want to have these knobs available. I'm not sure whether musicians are OK with the...
