Re: Cinematic Percussion Demo 1 using Zyn-Fusion and Dragonfly Reverb
Ran synaptic, removed everything related to pipewire, and now firefox sound works again. In the future, can you please start a new thread about getting Pipewire working along with Pipewire-Pulse and Pipewire-Jack and let this topic about my demonstration continue as-is? I do not want my topic being...

Re: Cinematic Percussion Demo 1 using Zyn-Fusion and Dragonfly Reverb
A bit of an aside. I just tried using the Natural Drum Kit (not sure if it's supplied with Zyn) and just for the kick drum as an experiment set the 1st effect to Hall 2 reverb, then the second effect to Cathedral 1 reverb and on this one wound the wet/dry considerably towards wet, and also increase...

Re: Cinematic Percussion Demo 1 using Zyn-Fusion and Dragonfly Reverb
New version out with a simple change of EQ. For no apparent reason, I did not think about mid to upper-mid frequencies when I was listening to the original soundtrack. So, I have decided to play my creation at low volume and I feel like I am missing mid frequencies from one of the cinematic percussi...

Re: Cinematic Percussion Demo 1 using Zyn-Fusion and Dragonfly Reverb
Thanks. After I've uploaded the new version, I think I'm done with my challenge for making the tone as close to TRON Legacy's soundtrack "Fireworks." It is a very challenging project, but hey I had a lot of fun! And I'm not sure of TRON: Legacy uses taiko drums. That sounds very cool when ...

Re: Cinematic Percussion Demo 1 using Zyn-Fusion and Dragonfly Reverb
Have you tried Pipewire-Pulse? It's made for Pipewire. If you are using PulseAudio with Pipewire then you need to install PulseAudio-Jack. Before starting PulseAudio, here's the configuration that I used before I tried out Wireplumber 0.4.9 with Pipewire-Pulse. Although this won't have anything to d...

Re: Cinematic Percussion Demo 1 using Zyn-Fusion and Dragonfly Reverb
I found the Zyn Reverb's algorithm to be inferior compared to Dragonfly Hall Reverb. Maybe I'll give it a try and compare the two reverb effects. I'll need more than 3+ insertion effects units per instrument though.
thanks for the feedback.

Re: Cinematic Percussion Demo 1 using Zyn-Fusion and Dragonfly Reverb
Thanks for the feedback! whenever that TRON Legacy soundtrack inspired me to create something in Zyn-Fusion, I would definitely try to achieve that level of tonality, but I would never get it to come close. I even reproduced the cinematic percussion sound from Rinzler soundtrack as well. I kind of g...

Re: Cinematic Percussion Demo 1 using Zyn-Fusion and Dragonfly Reverb
So mine has driving pulse rather than filter sweeps for each snare drum hit? Interesting. In another note, when I put in some Samson SR860 headphone, there is a lot of the low-end. I have decided to cut some of it back and give some mid frequency sounds a boost. I've just exported my session from Ar...

Cinematic Percussion Demo 1 using Zyn-Fusion and Dragonfly Reverb
I wanted feedback regarding my creation of cinematic percussion that was inspired by TRON Legacy's Intro to Light Cycle with fireworks. That scene was before the "Greetings programs!" part. Before I show off my demonstration, here's the reference track from TRON Legacy: https://www.youtube...

Re: Replacement for pipewire-jack-dropin (404 in AUR)
I have a solution for those who came across my thread.
Simply change from Patchbay (default) to Multiple Clients next to Process Mode and you should be good to go after restarting Carla. That's just one simple change that I did not think about.

Replacement for pipewire-jack-dropin (404 in AUR)
With the removal of pipewire-jack-dropin in AUR, I have had to use a different graphing application such as Pipewire or Catia. Until I figured out that I need to use either Qjackctl, Patchage, or Catia, I have been struggling to find out how to get Carla to show me the list of audio devices' inputs ...

Re: Ideas for Hiding Studio Equipment/Gear
A few years ago I wanted to arrange my space to be more about the music and less about the computer. I bought the BRUSALI Corner desk from Ikea. There is a lot of room to hide equipment under and behind the desk. If you are willing to drill some holes and have some small-ish components that you wan...

Re: Ideas for Hiding Studio Equipment/Gear
That will require me a dedicated room for woodworking unless I plan to build a two-car garage in the future.
Thanks.

Ideas for Hiding Studio Equipment/Gear
Hi everyone. I have been doing some research regarding hiding studio equipment when using a room as a home office. Basically, I do not want any studio equipment/gear to be visible all the time when giving a home office a clean, minimalistic look. I did a search for rackmount enclosure; however, the ...
