Re: Pi 4 as a MIDI hub thing!

Have a look at https://zynthian.org they have a kit which includes DIN midi, or you can build your own thing that uses the OS image which can do some midi routing and has qmidinet and rtp-midi. I used it only last week to route a DIN Midi keyboard to my new NTS-1 that uses a microusb connector.

Re: Pulse out and in via Jack by default?

use jackdbus, then it can tell pulseaudio it's there and they sort themselves out. Tick a box in qjackctl.

Re: Keyboard is recognised but doesn't work

lsusb just detects if a usb device is connected. Just because it's detected it doesn't mean a driver is available in order for you to use it. I've the same behaviour with quite a few usb devices. e.g. the Novation Mininova. In fact, the usb device has to be detected first so that Linux knows which d...

dnf install dragonfly-reverb, or search dragonfly-reverb in the software centre. But it seams you solved it another way.

Re: Raspberry pi cli mixing

There are a few pre-built music streaming servers that will run on a pi like LibreElec or web based apps like Ampache that are not too difficult to get runnning. I'm also unsure as to why you're running multiple cmus instances.

Configure Jack to use your NI interface when it starts, not the onboard sound card. How are you starting jack?

I enable jackdbus in qjackctl and pulseaudio sorts itself out for me. I run Fedora.

Re: Raspberry pi cli mixing

Is the personal sound machine supposed to stream music to a web based client or send the music out of a local audio device to a speaker? The way alsa works is to only allow one client to use a sound device at a time, that's why we use JACK or pulseaudio to mix the sound.

Start Jack, Start Audacity, go to "Edit > Preferences > Devices" Under interface, change ALSA to JACK.

I'm 100% sure this is not true.
Champion.

Does it do this with other plugins?

FamiStudio releases linux version

One for the chiptuners who don't get on with tracker interfaces.

https://famistudio.org/

It's written in mono and it feels weird launching an .exe on a linux machine but it works for me so there you go!
