It's quite different from the original and has a charm of its own - well done !

Re: I think I need this, but not sure why

The intro to this Nile Rogers piece would give headaches on a 'guitar' that cannot track properly. Every hit of the strings counts to make the beat texture. That's why I wrote at least the guitar is made of plastic. I would get frustrated in no time playing an instrument that has issues with trackin...

Re: I think I need this, but not sure why

Looks interesting. It's put forth as a MIDI controller, so it probably means that as far as a guitar, it's not that much. I mean the action, the frets, the fact that it can be dismantled in several pieces, suggests more a controller than a guitar made to specs. Still, it's very probably playable and...

Does your music makes you happy outside of a production context ?

Does your music makes you happy outside of a production context ? By that I mean when heard instead of anything else, eg. instead of the radio while doing kitchen work, instead of regular music in your car, etc, etc. As for me, it makes me happy to hear the music I did. Not proud-happy, just plain h...

Re: What's playin' while movin' ?

As I listened to K&D I remembered a well-made video, made with scenes from the movie "Baraka", to the sound of "Sleepless" :

A song posted on the Harrison Mixbus forum

Here's a song by Simon Scardanelli and Sam Chittenden titled "Only with the Heart". The song and video is of professional quality. This is a song from a bigger project - a full 2 Act, 14 song stage Musical based on “The Little Prince” by Saint-Exupéry. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wTg7...

Re: Why does giving your music as a gift feel awkward? Should it?

Looks like I missed that reply, or just can't recall? In the recent thread about the Vital synth in "Plugins". Went like this: Yes it's very interesting. I've built Linux systems from scratch (LFS, BLFS) for both personal and professional uses. I ran my first Linux audio app, the MuSE seq...

Re: Why does giving your music as a gift feel awkward? Should it?

As a functional item. Music with a physical purpose. Relaxing, meditative music. A carpenter told me earlier this week that he would very well work hearing some of the tunes I do. He said there's a beat, they are nice, makes a good change from radio. Not everything I do, but the appropriate ones sui...

Re: Vital, Matt Tytels' new synth, free and paid versions

I like to play around with my OS, and it's the most mean part to me on computing besides doing music with it. Yes it's very interesting. I've built Linux systems from scratch (LFS, BLFS) for both personal and professional uses. I ran my first Linux audio app, the MuSE seq/DAW in a BLFS system I've ...
