Re: Pipewire, Jack Applications & Low-Latency tuning for soundcards

Pipewire ain't Jack3 or Alsa2. It's more like PulseAudio2. Absolutely. And the number of posts and questions about problems how to configure pipewire for low latency rivals that of JACK over the years. Except that Pipewire is marketed as "this will solve all these problems those anti-user-expe...

Re: Pipewire, Jack Applications & Low-Latency tuning for soundcards

the system as currently configured appears to be good enough for my personal requirements And only you can determine that. But just be aware that Pipewire will never give you the latency you can reduce to via ALSA, or even jack. Pipewire isn't designed for that. Unlike ALSA/JACK, Pipewire is design...

Re: Converting a dspreset to sfz

Please be aware to never include any pianobook samples or instruments (your own sfz is fine) in this forum or anywhere else.
The instruments are not allowed to be shared, you are only allowed to download them right on their page.

Re: Is using sample-based instruments incompatible with Creative Commons licenses?

A second answer, because I find that even more important: Don't be an asshole. Just give credit. Recording good instrument samples is a lot of work. It requires high skills on the instruments, expensive audio equipment and a lot of technical knowledge. And time, even for seeminlgy "small" ...

Re: Is using sample-based instruments incompatible with Creative Commons licenses?

Since we do not know the actual law(s) at this moment, how about a little pascals wager (but with actually mutually exclusive options without infinity rewards or punishments): Case study: Someone records single notes of an instrument and publishes the audio files on the internet under a "CC-BY&...

Re: Is using sample-based instruments incompatible with Creative Commons licenses?

I want to remind everyone in this thread that so far only opinions have been shared across multiple law-traditions of the world and even about two separate topics, which nobody seemed to even acknowledge. There were no court cases presented here are no certified lawyers present here. It's all just g...

Re: Request Full Bucket to adapt his plugins for Linux

The framework is iPlug2. So far it does not have Linux support.
Here is the github issue about that https://github.com/iPlug2/iPlug2/issues/105

If you want full bucket plugins for linux this is in the way, nothing the plugin dev can do about it.
