Re: Removing commercial software from the repositories

i think a lot of people don't realise there are fully native linux vst plugins available (like the loomer stuff) which do not require wine at all as there is nothing to do with windows about them, and so have none of the wine headaches / madness. it's running windows vst's, which need wine, which ca...

Re: Removing commercial software from the repositories

hm, i didn't think it would really matter about that stuff, but i agree StudioDave made a good point too... for instance i have a registered version of loomer's aspect synth for linux and it's one of my favourite synths and i also use a registered renoise on linux for a lot of stuff (version 3.0 jus...

list of installable packages for debian

hi there falkTX et al,

while we wait patiently for the debian repositories to be fully ready, including metapackages, is there a way to get a list of all the available and working packages for debian, for manual installation without metapackages?

thanks,
a.

the KXStudio name is recognized and I like it. I also don't think I'll ever stop using KDE as my main desktop.

btw in spite of the pro debian decision to you still intend to produce arch aur packages for your own stuff?

Re: How to get KXStudio repos on a Debian system

it does kinda make the kde-centric name, and especially the kde-centeric logo fairly out of place though. yeah, I will change the logo some time in the future, it's just really not a priority at all. yeah no reason for something so minor to be urgent. how about FTXstudio for a name though, lose tha...

Re: How to get KXStudio repos on a Debian system

ok, thanks falktx, do you have a rough estimate of when it will all be installable on a debian system? you don't need the metas to install everything else on the repo, and as me and other users have tested, the current packages in there work nicely. ok then, guess i'm just being lazy about selectin...

Less dependencies is better. Thank you for that.
i agree being desktop agnostic is definitely the way to go.

Re: How to get KXStudio repos on a Debian system

There are already a lot of packages that are installable. The metas are not because I have not migrated everything yet. Those metas were a reminder to me, to know which packages are missing. I'll remove them for now. ok, thanks falktx, do you have a rough estimate of when it will all be installable...

Re: How to get KXStudio repos on a Debian system

ok, missied this topic so posted a new question in http://www.linuxmusicians.com/viewtopic ... 585#p44585 which is now redundant.

so, when will any of the packages actually be installable / useful on a debian system?

debian repository problems

hi there, looked on http://kxstudio.sourceforge.net/Repositories and saw instructions for a debian system, great! however, on a new debian (testing) system, after installing kxstudio-repos_7.1.0~kxstudio2_all.deb and kxstudio-repos-backports_7.1.0~kxstudio2_all.deb and apt-get-update ing, none of th...
