Re: Back In The Seat - Blues Rock instrumental.
Weird question, but what is the firmware version on your POD? Reason I ask is that I have one with 2.1 FW, but it sounds kind of bad. I am debating about buying a 2.3 chip off ebay. Not sure if it's going to be worth it, though. I read that to find out you hold down the manual button and power on. ...

Re: Making music as you get older
I have found more enthusiasm for what I do from strangers than most (but not all) people I know, ironic isn't it?

Re: Back In The Seat - Blues Rock instrumental.
Thanks for the kind words folks. The drums are a work in progress as I am switching to programming Drumgizmo directly in the DAW with a mouse instead of using Hydrogen. Guitar info. The two main guitars are a Burny Supergrade with Fernandes sustainer pickups and an 80s squire Tele. I used my trusty ...

Back In The Seat - Blues Rock instrumental.
One of my periodic attempts to 'prime the pump' and get things going. A blues rock jam recorded on Ardour with a drum loop a few years ago on a Debian system. I reloaded the project into Mixbus on Ubuntu Studio. The drums were redone with drumgizmo, the first time I have completely programmed them w...

Re: Mixbus32C v6
I am waiting for 6 for Mixbus (I don't use 32c). Since discovering Mixbus I don't use anything else.

Re: Excessive XRUNS with Ubuntu Studio, jackd and Ardour.
I found pulse audio was still impacting performance. I changed the settings to stop it respawning and start and stop it as needed with commands. (I put the commands into qjackctl 's settings)

You can do this in Ardour if you want to see it in action.Tim E. Real wrote:OK I'll have to look into this.

Re: how to render stems in MusE?
Not sure what you mean by stem. Each drum note type? (Bass, snare etc.) Check our midi import/export dialog in Settings. Hi Tim Stems are the individual audio tracks in the session. Many DAWs now have the ability to export them separately in one go so a session can be imported into another DAW. It ...

Re: Anyone know how to do 9/8 in Hydrogen?
Doing any decent song length drums on Ardour / Mixbus is a challenge It's a challenge regardless of tools used. programming on Hydrogen, importing it to Mixbus as midi then quantising it (I use it to drive Drumgizmo) Why so many inconvenient steps? I have no problems writing drum parts in Ardour or...

Re: Anyone know how to do 9/8 in Hydrogen?
Why Hydrogen? I can understand that only if you're 80+ and just can't learn anything new, otherwise I don't get why you people stick to Hydrogen anyway. It's too limited even for having fun with it, and one certainly can't take it seriously in a commercial situation. Ardour has a MIDI editor good e...
