Re: Your Thoughts on EQs
I would have to put 'non of the above'. These days; I do all my mixing on Harrison Mixbus which has EQ on the tracks, the mixbusses and the master bus and I use the XT EQs if I feel the need to reach for anything else. I love Mixbus's simplism aprouch, but the track EQs are not enough for cirurgica...

Re: How do you write/sequence drums?
I put down a basic drum track then record more of the song before I introduce more complexity. I used to use hydrogen but now I do it directly in Mixbus / Ardour using midi. I have started a series on youtube that will go through the process. Part two expected when I get some work obligations out th...

Thank you for all the kind and encouraging words. There has been enough interest so I will do the sequels, just need to get a Church project out of the way first so there will be a small delay.

Tutorial Vid: Writing A Simple Drum Part in Mixbus / Ardour
Hi Hope this is the right place. I've tried my hand at creating a tutorial video about writing a simple drum part in Mixbus / Ardour (It is timeline based so they pretty much function the same). Up untill a while ago I found midi composition in Mixbus/ Ardour really hard and used Hydrogen, but now i...

Well done, not only because your work is good; most people here will recognise what a lot of hard work this represents.

Re: Mixbus 6 is out
For me I was getting some problems and glitches in 5 that are completely missing in 6.milo wrote: ↑Thu May 21, 2020 4:55 pm What's better about the midi workflow? From what I can see on the videos and screenshots it looks pretty similar to v5: http://www.harrisonconsoles.com/mixbus/ ... topic/midi

Re: Mixbus 6 is out
I love this new version, and quite surprisingly, the track I've been working on with Mixbus 5 for the last couple of months sounds way better with Mixbus 6! The sound is fuller and brings the lower-end forward without losing that touch of "air saturation" I love. I even had to lower that ...

Re: Mixbus 6 is out
Just thinkin should I upgrade my Mixbus or switch to 32C. Sensible side of me says that with my use and skills, 32C would not make any difference, but there is also that other side of me, which has GAS (or is software 'gear') ... I have been tempted but in the long term I am not sure I would be abl...
