Over on the lmms forums (https://lmms.io/forum/index.php) it's been recommended that you do so. Besides the latest version is so much better. You'll be doing yourself a favor in the long run.

Just a heads up for those that tend to be late to the party, like myself. Dusted off an old lmms test project (from 2015 - gosh it's been that long, already ?) to try out the new features and discovered that among other things, you can now export multiple tracks. What a treat. I did not know. Worksp...

Please post screen caps with setting (both OBS et Ardour), when/if you get it figured out. That would be spiffy.
