Re: Happy Pagan Holiday

There's never been any consensus upon divine entities, and never will be. But that doesn't make any of them any less a plagiarism of what came before them. It's the same ancient fairy tales, repackaged and resold, everytime people feel the need to create a new god because their current guy just ain...

Re: Happy Pagan Holiday

Hm! I am pretty sure that there is no scholarly consensus on that, but there are other reasons for which I, a Catholic, personally wouldn't find your claim troubling even if it were true. First, all myths reflect a (partial) truth, which is the one truth (and there can't be more than one truth, othe...

Re: rtcqs, continuation of the realtimeconfigquickscan project

Good job! Just a note: AFAIK a port is a derivative work (if you looked at the original source code, at least) and should be released under the GPLv2. But there's nothing scary about the GPL: fine projects like Ardour and Qtractor have survived using it, so far!

Re: Oscillator - Pandora (Remix)

You turned into a 90s chillout-style track! Really neat :D

@folderol how did you recognize Yoshimi? Did @jeanette_c use a preset and you recognized that or can you recognize its sound in general? I understand that you are the author but if it's the second case, you really have a fine hear

Re: Steinberg UR22 mk2 dropouts suddenly (with newer kernels?)

One easy way to debug this would be to: 1. Install a different distro with a recent kernel on the same PC and see if the problem persists. If it does, you could still 2. Try the same interface and kernel version on a different PC to rule out any computer-related issues. I think step 1 would be good...

Re: Let's collect community Vitalium presets under libre licenses!

Why not in https://musical-artifacts.com/ ? One thing does not exclude the other. The problem that I have seen on MA is related to their weak enforcement of copyright. For example, somebody here posted the soundfont from a SNES videogame, Super Mario All-Stars, and released it under CC-BY: https://...

Re: Is MusE dead, not dead or it's a zombie?

Like my good friend oscillator whose music convinced me to switch to MusE, I also want to thank Tim E. Real , spamatica and kybos and want to tell them that their DAW is still one of the best DAWs out there, IMHO! I know MusE does not have a vocal fandom like Ardour or REAPER but I hope that you fee...
