Regarding hip hop here, I was only speaking on what I see on this forum along with the context that I'm not active, not what may actually be here.
Song and video done in FL Studio on Linux. Some audio editing done in Ardour. I usually use kdenlive, GIMP, and FFMPEG for video.

Moombahton (Slowed House Music Mixed with Reggaeton)
Anyone create moombahton/ moombahsoul / moombahcore? Maybe slowed+reverb tracks? I know it's a rarely discussed term but there's plenty of mainstream music that fits this sub-genre. Major Lazer's "Lean On" is a popular example. My first contribution: Dance with My Heart . I also did a Slow...

Anyone Produce Kalimba Music?

I've released to projects featuring my kalimba: EDM / Instrumental - Special Tines Spoken Word - And They Go I also wrote a short blog on what its like playing a kalimba . Anyo...

Re: Do You Make Music About Your Sweet Tooth?
If yall like that, I highly recommend checking out the Nearest Bakery . :D Nom! Nom! Nom! I rarely see hip-hop/rap discussed here. One of the best feats of this honey bun song is it reminds people that rap, hip-hop, and gangsta rap are not synonymous. Hip hop artists like Common, KRS-One, Rakim, and...

Re: AllMusic and Discogs
Looking back on this thread, I realized everyone talked about using it for managing their music collection. But my initial question was about adding my own data to such databases. All that stands out as of now are: a great way to discover new stuff. discogs finds some more hits Do yall add metadata ...

Re: Easiest Way to Create Lyric Videos?
Yes, I've shared my works here but mainly in my Newbie Mixdown Help and Best Platforms to Share Creative Commons Music? threads. I'm always grateful for mixdown feedback.
Thanks for the suggestion but I already have a subtitle editor. Workflow isn't any easier than kdenlive.

Re: Who here can master music for money?
How much do you (and any other mastering engineers here) charge per track under 5 minutes?
Also, thoughts on mastering from the following?
