Re: Rain On Your Parade
In cases like this I often duplicate the vocal track, high pass it and add some mild dirt (often TAP-tubewarmth) then pan it left or right and then free drag it a few milliseconds one way or the other until I find a natural sounding tape-delay like sweet spot and keep it mixed low enough that you c...

Re: Rain On Your Parade
Thanks for listening folks! Has a good Stones feel, but as previously mentioned the vocal needs to be much louder - Mick Jagger is not exactly the shy and retiring type  Lol, are you sure? I believe it was louder before, but I lost control of it :D With everything so loud it started to go bad w...

Rain On Your Parade
Spring cleaning is upon us! I see others posting tracks that for some reason never got released when they were produced. I've found a few of my own that derailed for one reason or another. This one I wrote maybe ten years ago, then as a very atmospheric ballad. But I never got around to recording it...

Re: hmm
Hi man, Sorry you decided to remove the song. As I too like to give criticism when I comment on songs I feel a bit affected by this. To defend this position; this is a musicians forum and I have always reasoned that posting here means you are open to feedback. All in the spirit of self improvement. ...

Hey jeanette!
Really cool tune with crazy bass rhythms! And for some reason I have a weakness for filter automation too XD
Should just have been longer, like 10 minutes!
Thanks for sharing!

Re: 01/22 - brand new song, first of the year
Nice! From a north European perspective it feels a bit odd. I like it :) Cool chord progression in the break, maybe it could have come a little sooner though? But I sometimes take my time before introducing chord changes too, so who am I to judge? : P As for the lyrics, people sometimes comment on m...

Re: Rest with Me
Hey guys, so much thanks for your kind words. :) Basslint no worries about calling it Indie  , might have negative connotations for some but not me. I mean, it's a broad word, can mean almost anything but some of my favourite music from yesteryear definitely is Indie. As soon as I get around to...

Re: Rest with Me
I see you work much faster than I do  Haha, sometimes it's fast but more often it's sloow. I found another "forgotten" song I was gonna post, the origins of that recording is at least a few years pre covid. Thanks for listening Folderol! As I knew before even downloading it: it's a g...

Re: It's been a long time coming, some metal
Hey @Basslint ,
I agree on the stoner name, the genre long ago outgrew its roots.
Got several other "stoner-ish" songs that I hope to finish one of these days.
Never really listened to Mastodon but I will give them a try.
And thanks for the flowers!

Rest with Me
Hi folks,
This little song was actually imagined on New Years Day of 2022 and subsequently recorded during January. Finally got around to posting it.

As usual recorded and edited in MusE.
I hope you enjoy.

Re: System font's too small
I tried installing xubuntu 20.04 in a virtual machine and I think I experience your problem.
The font is not too small but I can find no way to change it, not through qt5ct either. I have no idea currently where MusE/Qt gets this font from.

Re: System font's too small
I can change DPI and language but the problem is that it'll affect the whole system. Interesting that there's option "System" in Fonts settings but it is greyed out. system.jpg It's grayed out here too. I don't know for sure but it could be for informational purposes that this font is con...

Re: It's been a long time coming, some metal
Hey Milo, thanks, no later than myself it seems :) And thanks for all the flowers regarding the details, much appreciated! I don't remember off the top of my head where the calf delays were used but likely the solo guitars. I'll remember your suggestion on using it to make vocals sound bigger! Thank...

Re: Is It Possible To open Muse in Safe Mode?
man muse4 For your problem you could try muse4 -V Nothing wrong with looking at man pages but I realize the man-page we maintain is horribly out of date. And it seems the -V parameter is wrong even. :-o muse4 -h will give a more complete list of parameters to try. In the case of skipping VSTs the p...

Re: Naked God feat Tenaba - Hunt the Hunters [EBM/industrial/metal]
Those are some very low guitars very cool. Doom 2016 vibes!
Sometimes it gets a bit over-compressed, pulsing. Likely several instruments competing in the low mid-low range causing the multiband(?) compressor to suppress certain bands?
All in all very angry, like it a lot!
