Re: muse for windows
Time for a branch called muse-windows, did you use cmake, mingw, and qt sdks? What is your dependency list? Can we build reproducible builds on Linux for windows for faster testing?

Re: Guitarix as a plugin?
The thing I'm more worried about then having LV2 and VST exported plugins in Carla would be being able to use automation in the DAW to control plugin parameters such as knobs and switches in plugins in the Carla rack. I get full access to Windows VST plugins with LinVst but not with Carla. One Synth...

Re: Python scripts not working
Hopefully, They get ported to qt5. It's perplexing how a complete qt5 port would still rely on qt4.

Re: SMDrums v3 + Round Robins
You must download the samples first as I can not distribute those https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DHs_jQyNGfls6j3mvyO9F8DpK8vkySLa/view?usp=sharing Then extract this using your favourite archiver program (i.e. file-roller). Then you just extract the zip file with a file archiver like file-roller or...

SMDrums v3 + Round Robins
I have recently separated out some of the SMDrums linuxsampler sfz script found here on the forums and have created some individual instruments from it. Also, I have created a variant of these kits with all the round robins. v2 is the version without round robins and v3 is the version with round rob...

Re: Distrho Plugins crash in Muse
I found another crashing plugin its zynaddsubfx with the zyn-fusion ruby based GUI. It is only the LV2 variant that crashes. Same output scrolls down the terminal screen that is not caught by stderr redirection as the other crashes. Ardour loads the zyn-fusion LV2 variant just fine. I wonder if you ...

Re: Distrho Plugins crash in Muse
It does the same thing whether you use the stable plugins https://distrho.sourceforge.io/plugins.php or build them from git. VST, LADPSA, DSSI variants don't crash though. It also seems like your vestige header implementation is the best of all the free daws. Anyway, good luck looking into this one.

Re: Distrho Plugins crash in Muse
I fixed the realtime issue on the output by using xterm, gnome-terminal doesn't allow you to run applications from it and allow that app to lock memory/unlock memory. Also, I ran the jack backend this time and no dice. It does the same exact thing this time as last time again attached below is the o...

Re: Distrho Plugins crash in Muse
It only does this black screen with the zam compressors, 3 band eq/splitter and helm. This is only in the LV2 plugin format. Also, in the case of Helm LV2 you open it twice in its native GUI and then it pops up a black window and instead of crashing Muse it locks up the application. Below are the lo...

Distrho Plugins crash in Muse
I seem to get a crash every time I load any of the LV2 dpf-plugins created by falktx (in this case 3 Band Splitter) in Muse. However, they are perfectly stable in Ardour. Before the crash, the plugins native GUI is completely black and unresponsive. Although on the generic GUI it loads up fine. I'm ...

Re: Dozens of fixes, new features coming...
Cool, now I'm waiting for a multichannel surround sound feature as an option in Muse. Mixing stereo can be limiting sometimes. Also, how long before Muse 3.1.0 is unleashed on the masses, it has been over a year since 3.0.2?

Re: One month and counting without RT kernel on Arch Linux
I have found this kernel to lock up less personally, plus it would be nice if Archlinux made multiple version kernels viable for those of us who may use proprietary drivers. Also, on Nvidia I have found that RT is a real pain and can lead to a black screen when starting X11 and even more lockups dur...

Re: One month and counting without RT kernel on Arch Linux
I think the Archlinux zen kernel is the way to go. Another plus is that it uses the newer I/O schedules like kyber/mq-deadline/bfq for better multi read/wrrite performance on HDD's. This kernel also has optimized the RCU timer threshold setting for more responsiveness. Attached is a zip I created to...

Re: update wine-rt
Wine-staging has the wine-rtprio patch in it. I use wine-staging-nine for maximum performance on my AMD hardware. Also, wine-rt just patched regular wine and I have found that some plugins actually work better with wine-staging, especially when it comes to fonts rendering in d3d based plugins.

Re: KXStudio project is currently on a break
I wonder if a transition to flatpak would make falktx's work easier as you just build to that instead of 4 different buntu's plus Debian with the current apt repo. Also, snaps might flip the bill as well. Finally, you would get the added benefit that flatpak or snaps are distro-agnostic. That's afte...
