Re: FL Studio 20 available
FL Studio 20 won't run for me. What version of Wine are you people using that runs it successfully?

Did you change just that? Sounds like a very different track from the other one.

Re: Free4Sale
I like it, but I would have toned the drums down a little. I think it's kind of trampling over everything else.

Re: MUSIC DISTROS
Yes, that happened to me once with Suse and I never used that piece of garbage again. Unacceptable. If a distro can't make an installer that won't harm Grub like most distros, I can't trust it to do much else correctly. It's not rocket science. My right, my choice.CrocoDuck wrote:it can always happen

Re: MUSIC DISTROS
And don't try to dual- or multi-boot AVLinux with another Linux distro: it will mess up your existing GRUB and you will never be able to log in your other Linux distro. Like me last week  . If your not a Linux power user, don't try it! Dual-boot with Windows is no problem. Works! Whoa. Thanks...

Re: FL Studio 20 available
Protozone, can you point to more info as to how Pulseaudio can be tweaked to be good enough for use with FL Studio? (...) I want to avoid installing and using Jack if I can help it. Thanks Why would you want to avoid installing and using JACK? Some misconception perhaps? I remember I didn't like it...

Website: Film Scoring Tips
This site is relatively new:
http://www.filmscoringtips.com
Even if you're not interested in scoring movies, most articles are quite interesting to anyone who produces their own or other people's music. Good articles, methinks.

New sequencer: Transition v1.00 (for Windows)
A little complicated, but very interesting!
https://www.codefn42.com/transition/index.html
It's made for Windows, so Wine + Airwave or Linvst are required.

Can someone please fix this title? It's bad for people who search for topics with a search filtered by titles.

Re: Good Linux instruments and plugins sources?
https://www.karoryfer.com/karoryfer-samples Have you managed to get their UI's working on linux? Sforzando runs with wine, but drag'n'drop karoryfer xml did not work. I never knew they were supposed to have a UI without a dedicated player. Do you mean a GUI? The one time I actually used an SFZ libr...

Re: Good Linux instruments and plugins sources?
If you want emulation of real sounding instruments, then your second best bet in Linux would be to search for collections of SF2, SFZ and GIG libraries, and Google can help you with that. The notable exception in Linux is drumming. Hydrogen and Drum Gizmo have bona fide carefully sampled drum kits. ...

Re: jackd with cadence and multiple configurations
My number of input and output channels has always been zero although my interface has multiple of those. Jack won't even run if I try to use any other number. But Catia (the application, of course) shows me that I do have all the inputs and outputs I think I should have, possibly arranged in a diffe...

Great. I'd like to know what you think about it if you ever feel like sharing. I am grounded at work, all through the weekend actually, so I can't play with it.
