Re: Zoom/Skype replacement for Musicians on Linux?

Hello all There are various video conferencing options for musicians on Linux, including Jitsi, BigBlueButton, and Jamulus. It's important to consider audio quality and latency when selecting a platform. I made a presentation at FOSDEM a couple of years ago that explains why regular conferencing se...

Just wanted to add my praise for this as well. I love the drums at the end. I can really visualise people playing them as I listen. Very good.

Thanks! Great merit goes to the author of the free Taiko drum library I used, which made it very fun to "play" them live with my keyboard :D

Re: Himiko

Hopefully it will indeed be on Bandcamp soon, as it's part of what should be my next album: 8 out of 9 tracks are done (they just need tweaks) but there's one long epic I've been planning to do for a long time that I need to start from scratch, and it's one of those more complex things I mentioned ...

Re: Himiko

Just bumping this to say (again) what a great track this is. You should put it bandcamp. Thanks, I'm glad you liked it so much! Re: Axiom (EP)

Always crazy how fast you release new content. Well, it took me a year to come up with something (if we exclude a couple of isolated tracks), so not sure how fast I was this time  But this did come up in about three months, which is indeed not that much time (especially considering I spent thr...

Re: Axiom (EP)

An axiom is a self-evident truth, not an undeniable one. To an extent, axioms can be freely chosen or discarded, depending on what one wants to accomplish with it, and what one's philosophical disposition is. Hey, I said don't quote me on that! Jokes apart, thanks for the correction! I'll fix...

Axiom (EP)

Hi all, I've been quite lazy, lately. My latest album, Rainmaker , came out almost a year ago, and in the meanwhile all I could come up with were a couple of silly Christmas covers  . In practice, I've actually been working on a lot of stuff at the same time, but all of it is a bit more on ...

Re: Ends of the earth (full video edit) and announcement

Listened to it a couple of times already, I loved the ethereal vibe of the song!
Best wishes for the contest! I'll see if I can vote on the 14th too.

Re: [Eleanor Forte] Tenaba - Rest and Wait (2023)

Nice re-arrangement! Compared to the previous version maybe the vocals are a bit too upfront, but that's very likely a matter of personal taste (and I'm known not to have great taste! ) I've tinkered with Surge myself a few times, but never too much, maybe because in the past it tended to ...

I was expecting something completely different, knowing your previous work, and it was a pleasant surprise! Strong 70s vibes, and gorgeous soundscape.

Re: Himiko

Hi @Rainmak3r , I hope you enjoyed - or are still enjoying - your time in Japan. You certainly created your own soundtrack. Depending on what you do. Himiko could be a soundtrack to a film or stage performance of some kind. Thanks for sharing! Thanks for listening and for the kind words! I'm still ...

Re: Himiko

I've not much exposure to Japanese music, but this sounds very authentic. Impressive work! I agree with the others. Very well done indeed! Music-travel path :) Very interesting work! High level quality track, ethno-colorite, awesome! :!: https://i.ytimg.com/vi/PhBQmKGb248/mqdefault.jpg Thank you al...

Re: Himiko

Hi! First, safe and healthy travels to Japan! Thanks for listening and for the wishes! I didn't really know what to expect with this, but it sounds incredible, nicely done! Often with the off-the-beaten-path world instruments it can be obvious that sound libs are being used but this sounds super re...
