Re: high quality plugins for cinematic music?

Seriously? Ok back to windows then.. Yes, everything high quality only exist for Windows and OSX and is held under tight lock with all kinds of DRMs and walled-garden software. Eventually people will show up in this thread and tell you otherwise and link to this or that. And everyone of these links...

Re: Best distro for audio production on older PCs

Archlinux has the easiest pro-audio setup (except pre-configured systems) and the most, and most up-to-date pro-audio packages of all distributions ( citation needed). It is as configurable as it gets without invoking the arcane arts. Install the pro-audio package group as well as realtime-generic-s...

Re: synful orchestra

I wrote them 2 or 3 mails over the years asking them for linux versions or at least support with the WINE version when I buy it. All of it was declined. I was not surprised. Let's see where this goes. Synful Orchestra, despite it's age, may still have a place as offline midi renderer or something co...

Re: what sequencer to teach my kid?

I wrote https://laborejo.org/patroneo/ Patroneo was initially designed for educational purposes, where the main goal is to teach the importance of patterns and repetitions in any kind of music. However, Patroneo is a full sequencer you can use...

Re: Clap support in a Linux App

Is clap os-independent? Or do we have windows-clap and linux-clap like vst? Audio plugins are never os-independent. There is always Win-VST, Mac-VST, Linux-VST , Win-Clap, Mac-Clap, Linux-Clap and Win-LV2, Mac-LV2 and Linux-LV2. Plugins are compiled programs like everything else, your browser, game...
