Re: Shuriken Beat Slicer

PS. Another feature request (sorry ! Can't stop playing with Shuriken :D) that would be necessary for quantization and would be great to have anyway, is the ability to export the "rejoined" wave. Let's say I have sliced a wave, and moved some slices around, I'd like to be able to save the ...

Re: Shuriken Beat Slicer

Hi Andrew, Great work ! Shuriken's getting better and better ! The play head is a great improvement, and everything works better, and is easier. The looping works great too ! A few (constructive, hopefully) points : - The cuts are not at zero-crossings. maybe it could be an option, like "No zer...

Re: Shuriken Beat Slicer

Hi, Great improvements in 0.2 ! Thanks for the excellent work. I second Tatch, it would be awesome to be able to use Shuriken as an easy quantizer, knowing that every tool needed is already here (aubio + rubberband). I got some bass recordings that would love to be shurikened ! ;) Regards, Hw PS wil...

Re: Shuriken Beat Slicer

Hi, It works for me too ! ;) Thanks again ! As motosega says, it looks very promising, and already does a lot ! Here are my constructive comments : - Beeing forced to undo before refinding beats or offsets is not conveninent [agree with motosega] - Dotted lines on zoom [already in your todo list on ...

Re: Shuriken Beat Slicer

Good to read ! Another solution would be to create a function that does what the aubio seek(0) function does and kind of "#IFDEF" (but at runtime) the version of aubio : if version < 4.1 use your version, else use the aubio one. Of course, this suggestion stands only if the function can ea...

Re: (Probably) hardware related noise

Hi, FWIW, I have a similar issue, and it's nearly gone just by unplugging the AC charger from the laptop. So now, when I want to record, I unplug first (beware of cpu throttling by overzealous "energy saving" background programs, though). You may too have static on your guitar's mics, it w...

Re: Shuriken Beat Slicer

Hi RockHopper, Great project ! And just in time for me as I was just looking for such a tool ! BUT I cannot import any sound. I've tried wav and aiff but in the import window, clicking "Open" after selecting a file freezes the program (the background "main" window is grayed out a...
