Re: Who's educated?
My bad English (language) plays a main reason for misinterpretations in reading and writing. https://www.deepl.com/translate --help Then of course also my own half-knowledge in technical/musical/... areas. Musician/... are partly a very special blow of people. So those musicians I met in real life. ...

I have nothing against you in any way @42low! I respect you!
I just wanted to make it generally clear that everyone is welcome here.
I know from my own experience that there is a great danger of misinterpreting things.
Maybe I just misinterpreted. SRY!

Re: Ever used an oscilloscope youself?
I had borrowed a hardware oscilloscope once. I looked at my grandiose sound. Since a buddy of mine is building modules, he has the oscilloscope again. What useful software solutions are there under Linux? (I have already tested some and there were good ones. However, not only I am old but also my ha...

Re: Differences between the individual operating systems
Thank you very much! Recording that. Is LSP and foobar2000 an own plugin format like LADSPA, DSSI, Vamp, LV2, VST, AU, AAX, RTAS? I'll leave that out for now. If it is a format of its own, I will of course include it. This is about the different plugin formats. Meta level. :-) EDIT: Maybe LSP and fo...

Re: Poll: What samplerate do you use with jack?
I take 48 KHZ ((khz) ) because of ADAT.
A 44.1 KHZ divisible value would be ideal.
This means producing with double resolution - with 88.2 KHZ (176.4 KHZ ).
This allows you to loss-free downsample to 44.1 KHZ for publication.

Ardour external MIDI Clock
When I read the article community.ardour - midi sync I remembered my several failed attempts to synchronize Ardour to an external MIDI clock. On MTC, JACK-transport and such Ardour receives and transmits without problems. Ardour reacts to "start/stop" commands. But not on external MIDI Clo...
