Re: Just ONE xrun, and VSTs crash my audio
With jack2 you can also change the buffer size in a console, among other things.
Have you ever tested with the on-board graphics card of your system / CPU "i7 920"? So without using the NVidia GTX260.
Code: Select all

Start Carla in the console. Launch a VST instrument.
Post the console output with the error message from the VST instrument crash.
Hmmm, JUCE ...

Re: 2 interfaces, 2 jackd, couple them
I'm not sure right now if the "audioadapter" command is important. "audioadapter" may be superfluous. The " jack_load " command is important! Once you have found the working setting, please document it comprehensibly for other users. Good documentation is so helpful! :-D

Re: 2 interfaces, 2 jackd, couple them
No idea anymore. I was desperate and had searched the Internet for a solution. There were not much contributions/documentation and if then very different to it. After several failed attempts of the different possibilities, the "audioadapter" worked. I documented it right away in the net be...

Re: KXRepos and Debian - Am I screwed?
It is good to go step by step. Then one recognizes the possible problem originator and can undo thereby the last made. If now both entries are present that is rather unfavorable, isn't it? " tmpfs /tmp tmpfs defaults,size=7500M,mode=1777 0 0 " is unnecessary. No, it doesn't matter. Works. ...

Re: KXRepos and Debian - Am I screwed?
I had some issues with shutdown problems, i.e. it took some time. I'm pretty sure that this was related to hanging applications (Ladish, Pulse Audio). Meanwhile that's fine. When using a RT kernel the system was freezing twice. Since I use the normal kernel it was working for ~8 weeks without probl...

Re: KXRepos and Debian - Am I screwed?
I have to admit that I got a little less problems with the old KXStudio 14.04 iso than with Debian now. But I think the problem it's just me , not Debian. Take out the realtime optimizations (uninstall them). (Or: reinstall the system again, learning factor.) Test individually and take wh...

Re: KXRepos and Debian - Am I screwed?
A/Any distribution provides support for the original repositories/source.list. Even for the "conrib non-free" entries, they can no longer provide any guarantee because they may no longer be "open source" and are therefore no longer traceable. Even if you make a deviation from the...
