Spitfire Audio's BBC Orchestra - Newer offering but shows Linux commitment.

What do you mean by "shows Linux commitment"? The only thing at all about Linux that I can find on their site explicitly says that they do not support or encourage the use of their products on Linux.

Re: Hi

I would love to hear what you're doing with your banjo. I "borrowed" a tenor banjo from the neighbors a while back (the short story is that I saved it from being destroyed by their little boys, but a few years later the older daughter wanted to practice it so I gave it back). A while back ...

Re: DragonflyHallReverb user presets?

The dragonfly plugins don't have any feature to save custom presents. What DAW are you using? It might have some way to do that.

Re: any idea how to get LinuxSampler working in OS10.5?

The version "OS10.5" seems to suggest MacOS.

If you want to try a more mainstream distro and customize it for audio production, this post has a good summary of the typical steps.

Re: First Time User of Ardour

Ardour has generally been very reliable for me. Ardour might have issues with the data transfer rate to the external HDD. Ardour requires the ability to both write and read audio data during recording and playback, so if the data has a lot of hoops to jump through between Ardour and the HDD, that mi...

I'll tip back an imaginary flagon of ginger ale for those who are no longer with us... Some that come to mind are TAERSH, Lyberta, 42low (anybody remember those conversations? I think they're all deleted now), and recently of course that charming young Italian sofia-m who didn't actually exist

14 seconds sustain seems plenty long enough for any arrangement I would ever make.

Re: My free SFZ pianos 2.0 stable release

Hi sofia-m ! I've been reading your updates for a while. I finally downloaded the 1.0 versions of these last week. What are the new features in 2.0? From what I can tell, the simulated half pedal and simulated incremental soft pedal are new. Are the samples mostly the same, with updates to the size ...

GMaq or anybody else who uses TAP Tubewarmth or Calf Bass Enhancer, do you tend to set it for more tube-style or tape-style saturation, or somewhere in the middle, or do you use a variety of settings depending on context? Calf Bass Enhancer uses the terms "2nd" and "3rd" harmoni...

This is one and proven to work.

I was also going to suggest this one but @sjzstudio beat me to it.

Re: Ardour 8 released

A bit off topic, ones saw a demonstration, an Atari ST with Cubase, a Yamaha Dx7 and a drum computer. The person made a drumloop, and we said it sounded very mechanical. He then right clicked something in Cubase and suddenly it sounded like a life drummer. I want that on Linux :) How hard c...
