Re: Shuriken Beat Slicer 0.4

Thanks for the nice comments everyone :) I had a little free time today to work on copy 'n' paste. I'll try and get that finished off next weekend and then put out a release. I know there's still a bunch of features waiting to be implemented but I feel that the program has substancially improved sin...

Re: Shuriken Beat Slicer 0.4

Multiple JACK outputs now complete and pushed to GitHub. Note: although Real-time Time Stretch mode does work with multiple outputs, you'll need a hefty processor if you've got several outputs. Selecting "short" window size from the options menu may help. I know the Giada project http://ww...

Re: Shuriken Beat Slicer 0.4

Hi rwtig, glad you're enjoying Shuriken! it would be useful to have a button that deletes all slices. I'm not sure if you mean audio slices or slice points. If you mean slice points then yes, a button to remove all slice points could be useful. Be able to zoom in and out and move left and right usin...

Re: Affordable interface, 96khz sample rate, ALSA

I figured that if ALSA could only set the card clock to 48000 that it wouldn't be possible to get it to work at 96 in jack. Yes, that's correct. All I've really tried so far was seeing if my card (An E-MU 1212m) would work on a live-usb. Also after a bit of research I now realize that there are in ...

Re: Shuriken Beat Slicer 0.4

Hi, sorry for not replying sooner. I haven't had much time to spend on Shuriken as I've been busy swatting up on C# and SQL for a new job as a software developer. I had a quick read at the SDS spec. It looks like it might be quite time-consuming to implement and I'm a bit pushed for time at the mome...

Re: Shuriken Beat Slicer 0.4

some inspiration for shuriken! http://createdigitalmusic.com/2015/05/just-stuttering-fraction-plug-slices-sound-live-mac/ That looks really cool. I'm working on a new feature that allows users to set the number of JACK outputs in Shuriken and then route audio slices to certain outputs with the help...

Re: Shuriken Beat Slicer 0.4

More updates pushed to GitHub: Envelope attack and release implemented + "one shot" checkbox added. These settings are included when exporting a Hydrogen Drumkit, SFZ, or Akai .pgm file. Keyboard shortcuts: Return - slice Q - select previous audio slice A - audition selected audio slice Z ...

Re: Shuriken Beat Slicer 0.4

Can't believe I've missed this. Nice job. Thanks :) recycle does this, it's intended to fill in the gaps when playing a loop at a slower tempo without timestretching. sometimes it results in nice glitchyness, sometimes not. Interesting. No promises, but I'll look into it. i often find myself switch...

Re: Shuriken Beat Slicer 0.4

the new gui is much better. clean, simple and intuitive Good to know things are going in the right direction :) what are your plans for envelopes? For the moment just attack and release, but more comprehensive control will come later. are you planning on adding loop points to each slice? that would...

Re: SuperSync Music Manager for Linux

asbak, you're making some good points but they're getting lost in these long posts. If this post was made on the kxstudio section I'd already have deleted it. I reported it as spam to the admins as soon as I saw it. I believe there's absolutely zero chance of SuperSync being included in the KX repos...

Re: Shuriken Beat Slicer 0.4

Pushed the new GUI to the git repo. The interface should be reasonably consistent across different DEs, themes, and Qt versions (tested on Qt 4.8/KDE, Qt 4.6/XFCE, and Qt 4.6/LXDE).

Re: overflowed by spam bots

Name an LV2 Host. Name a common music genre. Name a common musical instrument. Name an ubuntu release codename. What is the linux command to do [action]? How many quarter notes in 4/4 time? How many strings on a standard guitar? What kind of instrument is a drum? What's the acronym for Musical Inst...

Tramp is right, the forum is slowly getting swamped with spam messages. More moderators would help, but really there needs to be some sort of random element to registration e.g. random distorted letters.
