Re: Jack problems
Okay, turning off other sources of audio makes it work. However, when I start up a file in Ardour, it sounds horrifically choppy and muddled with noise. Any ideas?

Jack problems
Just installed the new Tango Studio 3.2.0-4-realtime-amd64 and am having Jack issues. I have a quad-core 8gig ram, 2tb drive etc. I am using a Scarlet 2i2 usb interface. I suspect maybe some permissions issues since this Debian is different from Ubuntu which the prior version was built on. Here is t...

Re: Spring Reverb
Thanks. I actually found those and wasn't able to find a balance between that deep echo....even tuning down the wet. I beleive those were from 2004. Somebody has to have something new you'd think. I wonder if I should try and buy some good ones?

Re: EQ recommendations and advice
Okay I guess what I want to know now is how to separate the various sounds like vocals from the lead guitar and maybe drums from bass. Looking. At an equalizer is still kind of foreign to me so I wonder if there is a certain methodology I should use like for vocal should I go low on vocals and high ...

EQ recommendations and advice
Looking for it..... I am a blues musician going back and trying to learn how to eq these tracks. Want to effectively separate and mix vocals, bass, drums and rhythym lead guitar. I have the ear thing down just don't understand much how to eq. Which plugins are the best for Ardour. And should I only ...

Quality Delay Plugin
Looking for a quality Delay plugin. I have Ardour and a bunch loaded. I am trying for a dual-delay effect where I use digital delay at one speed and then modulation delay at another. Here is a sample, of course I am trying for better than this(sucks). http://www.mediafire.com/?68xogu82xv7gve7

Re: Arena Reverb
I actually don't like the way that verb sounds. You can do better. It has a cheesy spring reverb quality, but that might be what you're looking for. That basic reverb sound can be captured by any of the better linux reverbs. Try fooling around with Gverb. But the broken spring sound is something el...

Re: Making Music Fill Speakers
Thanks Pablo! That did it. I am now able to play the song thru JAMIN without static. Now I just need to learn how to use it. Especially the equalization process for parts of song I want to stand out and then fade back, like the lead guitar portions. That sorta thing definitely should be done in mix...
