Re: MusE 4.0 released

Is the dark theme optional? These tend to be a nightmare for those with poor eyesight.

Re: Hydrogen 1.1.0 beta 1 release & 20 years of Hydrogen

Use it off and on. Does it now respond to MIDI Volume change? It was always an annoyance that it was the only thing I had to set by hand, so couldn't realistically change it during a perfomance.

Re: JAZZ FANATICS

Sounds like a bit like a Hammond B3, with a fairly short decay (or played staccato) , and a lot of reverb, possibly a touch of echo too. Yoshimi Will Godfrey Companion B3 might get close if tweaked a bit - Don't know if the other lot kept up with these.

Re: JAZZ FANATICS

I do enjoy a bit of Jazz from time to time, but much prefer live gigs (if I can get to them). My fondest memories are of monthly sessions in the late 1960s at a pub. I moved from the area in the 70s and haven't been back since :( I'm happy to say it hasn't changed much as far as I can tell. https://...

A truly emphatic proof that less is sometimes a great deal more! Lovely chillout song.

Re: Spark in the Night

Took a while to get to this, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. We need more upbeat songs!

Re: [ANN] Yoshimi V 2.0.1

Oops! Sorry about that. Must be getting forgetful :( Yoshimi source code is available from either: https://sourceforge.net/projects/yoshimi Or: https://github.com/Yoshimi/yoshimi A compiled version is already available for fedora fc35 and the others should follow soon. Arch linux usually have these ...

Re: Yosh/Zyn - What's the name of the related parameter to edit?

Hmmm. I can't seem to find that. Was it perhaps renamed from Analog Bass?
Anyway, In AddSynth global try increasing D.dt to mid position, and reducing S.val to zero.

Re: Yosh/Zyn - What's the name of the related parameter to edit?

It's definitely an 'Envelope' that you need to modify and probably a combination of D.dt (decay time) and S.val (sustain value).
However if it is an AddSynth sound, it is slightly more involved - especially if more than one voice is used.

Can you say which specific ones you want to modify?

Re: What DAW should I use in 2021?

I see there is also one called Rosegarden than nobody has mentioned. If all I want to do is record, edit and mix acoustic instruments via microphone (no midi, effects, etc), which would be a good bet? I'd like something simple so I don't have to spend too much time learning how to use it. I've trie...

Re: What DAW should I use in 2021?

I would say: try as much Digital Audio Workstation as possible to choose what's best for you. It takes time, but then, you have a good idea of what exist in case the one you choose go to a direction that does not suite you any more. It is pretty huge work to learn DAW properly, so I would say learn...
