Re: MusE has probs loading synths, saving sliders
What part is the volume of the audio-grou named BAS-REV? Is it gain? ( <gain>1</gain> ) <gain> is the little field above the slider in the mixer strip, it's for compensating the gain on a whole track. If there is automation for instance, it gets very tedious to use the volume slider. Regarding the ...

Re: drum synths
If videos are ok, I've got a few going through the basics of MusE
I think the first five minutes of this one should cover what you need to do.

Thanks for keeping this site going!
In light of recent events (see reddit blackout), I just wanted to send a message that I am really thankful for this site! Even though I am not that active, I find this site to be a really high quality resource for Linux Audio and I hope we can keep it going for a long time! The reddit blackout has (...

Re: [ Fixed ] Ancient crashes when loading another song or file > 'new' or 'close'
I'm looking at reverting to a previous method I had tried, to be safe. (Waiting for the 'destroyed' signals instead.) It's just that to do that, will make it annoyingly complicated ... I dunno how unorthodox the solution you added is. Seems it's an improvement at least, in which case it seems to me...

Re: Beginner starting again
I don't know if you play any instrument, in which case I would simply suggest playing the song/melody and recording it to an mp3. I have dipped my feet into sheet music but it is really much too big a challenge for me to be able to archive stuff that way. But I do save a lot of ideas, at this point ...

Re: Since the bugs have been squashed..
I've got kxstudio with the following version of lv2-dev and it seems to work. I do have the /usr/include/lv2/lv2plug.in/ns/ext/data-access path too. $ dpkg-query -s lv2-dev Package: lv2-dev Status: install ok installed Priority: optional Section: libdevel Installed-Size: 1071 Maintainer: Debian Mult...

Re: Since the bugs have been squashed..
As it happens we use QStatusBar for showing information messages (maybe Kybos added it?), so I added a one-liner for flashing a "Project saved." message when save is triggered.

Re: Muse Knob Automation with Oscillator
Hi there! The tech you are looking for might not be something we support that good yet... As far as I know MusE does not currently support connecting a wave-form as an automation generator. I can see that being a very cool idea though! I think I will have to look at LMMS and see how they do it. I su...

Re: How to record as audio song from Muse?
All the tracks, MIDI and audio, go to track output. Here's some documentation for you to read, to get a grip on at least some of the basics: https://thoth-amon.github.io/muse-sequencer.github.io/docs/intro.html What is recorded with a mixdown is the audio that passes through the output track. Midi ...

Re: Are there fades and crossfades implemented?
1) The OP mentions two overlapping wave parts on the same track . The two wave parts in question MUST overlap. Otherwise there's no crossfade. Therefore it is the amount that they overlap that will determine the slope of the fade out. Want a slower crossfade? Overlap them some more. Want a differen...

Re: compiling MusE requires lv2 1.18
It would seem the README is unfortunately wrong. Checking the logs, the lv2 version dependence was increased a while ago for better support of HiDPI screens. So, support for lv2 on older distros seem unfortunately limited. I guess your options are: Use the appimage update lv2 manually update your di...

Indeed.
This far it is only on the list, but it is a long list
