Does no one else have this issue?
Maybe i need to just install the kx studio iso rather than lubuntu with kx studio on top.
I had this problem on my desktop but was able to fix it.

Re: Problems with drums...
I can't make promises of high quality samples, but for light on resources you might have some luck just using fluidsynth (and your favorite front-end, maybe the calf plugins lv2 version) to play a sf2 sample pack. I used this kit on this song using exactly that. There are loads of free sf2s out the...

Re: Is KXStudio the one I want to use for Windows Apps?
If you really are tied to your VST plugins, you may want to stick with windows. I've found a replacement for everything in my old Pro Tools setup for everything except some of the waves x-noise type plugins. Some things work in the chain, and I myself use Reason 5.0 quite heavily via wineasio and a...

Re: OpenSource non-linux plugins out there?
We have PitchedDelay and luftikus from LJKB! Is it possible to make Refine (his plugin for kvrdc 2014 contest) linux version also? It is absolutelly amazing "mastering" plugin something that linux needs :-) At the risk of being taken out and beaten, and with the knowledge that the develop...

Re: CALF limiter: oversampling?
I think I found something explaining: http://www.fabfilter.com/help/pro-l/using/oversampling.html So my conclusion is: - Short lookahead AND medium or heavy limiting -> oversampling advisable - Several ms lookahead AND no or only slight limiting -> oversampling not needed I uses CALF limiter in eac...

My laptop has lubuntu 13.04 with the kx studio repos on it and it can output sound. But in kx studio i have failed to get it to play any of th...

Re: jack2 update
are we using jack2 in kx studio?
Over on ardour gmaq said that most people should stick with jack1 as jack2 is a fork of jack1 rather than a new version and that its not a good fork

Re: OpenSource non-linux plugins out there?
For some reason I completely didn't see this one before: http://www.kvraudio.com/product/luftikus-by-lkjb now in a kx package as "luftikus" (and DISTRHO repo). Just giving this a quick test while watching a youtube video (not really the greatest test) So far its brilliant, the keep gain s...

what about pulseaudio module jack.
pulse audio needs to be either fixed to work properly without headaches or sent to the bad fire

Re: Studio 13.37 v2
http://www.zamaudio.com/?p=97 linux mbox driver, says it's in the kernels newer than 3.8rc2 As a linux audio rule of thumb, I would sell/trade what didn't work, and aquire what does. There are quite a few quality options, these days. Cheers should have looked at the page properly,k thats the mbox2 ...

$75 for the USB stick or $50 for iso download. But no demo, iw ouldnt buy unless i could try it out and see whats actually underneath. how much of it is open source software that is not meant for commercial resale? The demo currently is the older version, for which there is no charge. http://puppyl...

Re: MDA Plugins
I really like the mda stereo plugins ive got some interesting fx with them combining it with a straight delay on a bus. A gui would be really nice. I dont like the standard guis that plugins without guis provide sometimes there ok sometimes there just really distracting mess of sliders. I nicely mad...
