One more note regarding "On first login to kx studio a dialogue comes up asking to reset settings. Did you force reset like it recomended for new installs?"
I don't remember doing a force reset during initial install/login.

Have you changed any jack settings recently? The error seems related to jack starting with realtime but kx studio should have set this all up for you when you installed kx studio.
