USB is working great, but I am seeing additional latency because of the need for three buffers. Looks like AVB is only requiring two. I'd love to try to get AVB working, do you have anything ready to share?Drumfix wrote: As for the state of AVB driver... ...Achievable roundtrip latencies...

Re: Motu 624 AWB
But, i I didn't understand how to set the Windows proprietary mode..is this possible using the kernel patch? is this right? M. Use the curl commands posted on page 12 to change the mode of the motu and set the number of channels. The number of channels must match the quirk that you copy into quirks...

Re: Motu 624 AWB
Also, change the buffer size... I tried...nothings change kernel patch and use it in windows proprietary mode. Do you mean Kernel patch by Drumfix? Wath is windows proprietary mode? M. Hmmm.. you should be able to change buffer size as long as you make jack match what you set in the web interface. ...

Re: Motu 624 AWB
Sounds like you were using a smaller buffer size before, but that won’t fix the xruns. Switching to an older firmware might help, but I your probably going to have to do the kernel patch and use it in windows proprietary mode. Also, change the buffer size in the MOTU device tab before starting Jack ...

Re: Motu 624 AWB
Looks like all your inputs go to the internal mixer, internal mixer out to computer in, computer out to analog outs, so that appears to be correct. The most common problem with the AVB series is that they are very sensitive to USB timing, so much that depending on your hardware and software environm...

Re: Waves plugins, LinVST and GTK3
Same here. i keep a USB drive plugged in during installation. I've tried creating a .windows-serial file with the serial number of the drive, but waves plugins and waves central wont recognize it as a connected device even if there were licenses previously installed.

Re: Waves plugins, LinVST and GTK3
IMO, be careful about deleting the prefix where you have waves plugins installed. I'm afraid that deleting the prefix would lead you to lose the license installed into the prefix.. You can rename it to something else though, so that you still have a possibility to go back and recover the license so...

Re: Waves plugins, LinVST and GTK3
I use Arch Linux sorry it won't work EXACTLY the same. For me it is a sudo pacman -Rsc lib32-gtk3, for you it might be sudo apt-get purge gtk3:i386. Purge means to remove all dependencies and configuration files. Haven't used Debian in more than a year though. Lastly, if everything else is working ...

Re: Waves plugins, LinVST and GTK3
Welcome to gtk3 wine. I dont use it, because of that very reason they should just remove gtk3 themeing support already. Try starting a new wine bottle and delete all 32bit gtk3 dependcies and start again, sadly. Thanks for responding. I'm relatively new to all of this. Just so I'm clear, I should c...

Waves plugins, LinVST and GTK3
Is anyone running Waves plugins with "Enable GTK3 Theming" checked in winecfg?
Plugins were working fine until I checked enable (..I wonder what this does...). Now the GUIs and all black/blank. Unchecking the box does not revert back to previous state. Plugins from other vendors are fine.

Re: iLok License Manager in wine-staging/Reaper is working!
Did BonJour get installed OK? Thats the first thing that visually happened in my installer's routine. And each application installer might then offer to repair or remove it, repair is of course the needed choice. I used a previously aquired msxml3.dll for the over-ride, 130432 bytes, maybe a fresh ...

Re: iLok License Manager in wine-staging/Reaper is working!
Thanks for sharing! I'm trying to get the license manager working, but I'm pretty sure I didn't do the last three overrides in your list, so I'll try that next. I'm getting a server unavailable message.

Re: Ultralite AVB
I'm not at all familiar with patching kernel, so can someone explain what I can expect from the patches provided : - enhance class compliant mode with more stable channels ? - change from class compliant to another mode (but which one ? AVB ?) ? See Drumfix's two posts on page 12 of this thread. It...

Re: Ultralite AVB
I understand this conceptually, but am not sure how I would create an 'alternate' module that includes the alternate quirk. At my present level of Linux experience, I'm impressed with myself for even being able to compile a kernel!bluebell wrote:Unloading and reloading the module?
