Re: What makes Jazz, jazz
Not sure why it'd be important to know if it's jazz or not compared to how you like some stuff or not but in any case that last piece sounds like sheer hard rock'n'roll to my ears, some blend between Deep Purple (a lot), Yes and Rush, well of course they all were driven by a blend of western classic...

Re: Mastering the loudness of a track
@impostor That's so weird. I don't know how you've managed that because I've never been able to get a compressor to make those effects! Maybe you're onto something  I guess he's using the compressed track parallel to source track and hasn't compensated the latency which then might play some fl...

Re: How do YOU decide when a song's finished?
I've got a friend / songwriting mentor who says, Just keep rewriting until you hear the song on the radio. I find that I don't quite agree I vehemently disagree with your friend. Radioplay is certainly not a measure of quality. I tend to think the opposite. Not always of course, but often. But I ma...

Re: Worse performance when power supply plugged in!
I ve read in one of the first threads something about lenovo...well these machines are rock solid as far as I can remember. That'd be for the T series or some off the X series, the L series (those I've tested or seen at friends) alas are more a toy than a tool and especially is a bit uncertain on l...

Re: Which version of wine-staging works best currently?
Which version of wine-staging seems to work best with the most plugins currently? Best bet is to look at https://github.com/robbert-vdh/yabridge If there is no recommendations on avoiding specific version, then it is safe to assume latest works great. I use an overcautious variant of that stance, I...

Re: No guitar input to Scarlett 2i2
In that kind of wotisaidwot I'd try to proof the input scheme and test the same entry using a line level something (radio, CD, Epianodemoplayer, tetriskey, anythingvolted) instead of the guitar, if you get some (earable and led-seeable) signal you(re just dealing with some impedance or entry level, ...
