Re: Playitslowly? other options?

You can at least give it a try (I'm using Kubuntu 12.04 Beta 1 with KXStudio PPA). grayson@grayson-laptop:~$ apt-cache search playitslowly playitslowly - Plays back audio files at a different speed or pitch "apt-cache search" is how you search for packages like playitslowly. apt-get instal...

[SOLVED] Disk Stream Not In Time (LinuxSampler)

Update (Subject Changed!) I changed "Linuxsampler: Sound Cutoff Upon Pressing Keys In Keyboard" to "Disk Stream Not In Time (LinuxSampler)." It's marked as [SOLVED]. End of Update (Subject Changed!) Sometimes it almost cut off and sometimes it completely cuts off the sound when ...

Re: Harmony Assistant

I'd rather work with piano roll (Rosegarden, QTractor, OpenOctave MIDI) and I have no need of notation.

Plus, I don't want to have to deal with getting Windows and VSTi programs to work in Linu.

Re: Hi yall.

I prefer Rosegarden's workflow over QTractor because of the workflow and I use function keys to switch between select, move, insert, erase, and whatever other tools that are specific for the job such as splitting two measure segment into 2 one measure segments or joining two segments together. Other...

Re: Harmony Assistant

As an off-topic note, SoundFont is like a collection of samples, whether it be musical instruments, drum kits, sound effects, or anything you can think of. Examples of instruments in soundfont is classic analog synthesized sounds, vintage electric guitar/piano, or anything you can think of. If you h...

Re: Digitech RP500 and Jack = WIN?

Have you check the alsamixer settings (open either gnome-terminal or Konsole or xterm depending in your desktop environment and type "alsamixer") to see if they are unmuted?

(Disregard my post. I thought the sound card being muted is an issue, but I'm not sure about that.)

Re: Spam & New User Registrations

This is what I have: http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/8555/nobbcodeoption.th.jpg Well, you'll have to copy/paste the URL into the address bar: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/210/nobbcodeoption.jpg/ Update: Oh, the URL does work without the URL tag. Could you check the administrator control p...

Applies To Debian Debian-based Linux Distributions, such as: Ubuntu Mint Netrunner Scenario You wish to reinstall all packages that are dependent by a meta package. Yeah. You'll probably get a much better attention by starting a new thread in Linux Distributions and Other Software forum, something like "Packages Depended By kxstudio-meta-non-free Not Found" in the subject.

Re: NEW SETUP: audio problems, sometimes works sometimes no

Hmm... Have you done sudo apt-get update ? About the error message containing "[[," that is quite strange. You might want to replace that line if [[ $EUID -ne 0 ]] with if [ "$(id -u)" != "0" ] as shown in here . To @falkTX or anyone out there, does anyone know why the ...

Re: Spam & New User Registrations

No problem. There's still a 3:12am spam in my thread. I've reported the spam so quickly last night (about 3:59 AM).

I do visit the forums frequently despite the low traffic. :)

Update: It seems the spam has already been taken care of. Thanks.

Update 2: Hmm... It seems the URL is not parsed.

Re: Recommend wave editor for splitting and trimming

Are you applying fade in to percussions?

(Off-Topic: What is the plural for "percussion?" "Percussions" are marked as misspelled by Firefox 10.)

Re: NEW SETUP: audio problems, sometimes works sometimes no

Okay, reinstalling kxstudio-meta-non-free will only reinstall a meta package and nothing else. My bad. Let's try this. Open a Konsole and input the following command: sudo nano /usr/local/bin/apt-reinstall-meta Copy and paste the script: #!/bin/bash # Check if the user is in root mode if [[ $EUID -n...
