Re: ToneLib GFX ?
If somebody is still interested in ToneLib software, its state, and what's happening behind the curtains, go here for any clarifications. I find their sales/updates policy really generous compared to most of other vendors on the market.

Re: ToneLib GFX ?
A kick in the nuts is when you state that people should always code for free. Any coder can kill you for such statements, and I won't judge them for such a righteous action.christobal wrote:Well that's a kick in the nuts.

Re: ToneLib GFX ?
Why it shouldn't? Also, how can a piece of software installed via package manager (thus requiring root access to make any changes) update itself running from an unprivileged account?christobal wrote:Just to clarify, running an older version and stopping it from updating should work?

Re: Anyone know how to do 9/8 in Hydrogen?
Doing any decent song length drums on Ardour / Mixbus is a challenge It's a challenge regardless of tools used. programming on Hydrogen, importing it to Mixbus as midi then quantising it (I use it to drive Drumgizmo) Why so many inconvenient steps? I have no problems writing drum parts in Ardour or...

Re: New Garage Band Recorder
There's nothing specific about mixing on Linux. It's the same as on any other platform. Setting up a Linux audio workstation is certainly different than with macOS/Windows, but once you did that, you can use your studio PC for years without any maintenance but installing updates, which also include ...

Re: A new delay (vst)
VST3 is virtually useless on Linux, as the best audio software we have here refuses to support it.

Re: Anyone know how to do 9/8 in Hydrogen?
Why Hydrogen? I can understand that only if you're 80+ and just can't learn anything new, otherwise I don't get why you people stick to Hydrogen anyway. It's too limited even for having fun with it, and one certainly can't take it seriously in a commercial situation. Ardour has a MIDI editor good en...

Great energy! Made me nostalgic to remember being able to dance to music like this. Hey, this is great! sound and feeling is perfect! Thanks, guys! We'll deliver more pretty soon. I don't understand a word, but Seems that I should tell about each song a little. So… No problem. In overall, I'd say t...

Re: Rated Blue - Joy
I personally was reminded of Simon&Garfunkel, they had drums in left channel on one of their really old albums.funkmuscle wrote:I think the bass guitar could be done on one side as a throwback way to the way they used to mix back in the late 60s early 70s

This is, as always, incredible. But I don't get one thing: why bass is only in the left channel?

Re: Страна Идиотов — Панк-рок инвалид (russian language punk rock)
Congratulations on busting out a whole album! Thanks! There's one more coming up in a few months, it will be less “punky”, with ballads and stuff. Sometimes the quick & dirty approach is what it takes to get it done. And that might even improve your authenticity in the genre. You don't want pun...

This isn't my cup of tea at all, but sounds pretty good. Synth sounds are really nice.

Страна Идиотов — Панк-рок инвалид (russian language punk rock)
Finally, after a really long musical journey, I found some time and resources to actually release an album with my current punk rock band. It was a pretty hard experience, because everything was arranged, recorded, mixed, and mastered in a very short time span. All recordings, except last song, were...

There's no exact copy of this, but there are lots of parametric EQs. Use them instead.
