Re: Rated Blue - "I'm Her Daddy"

Hi, I didn't knew Bill Withers let alone this incredible story. It sounds lile a very courageous subject to sing about and it fits well in a "drama" song, with strong and emotional performances, as the style demands. I guess "Billie Jean" by Michael Jackson is also about a simila...

Re: 01/22 - brand new song, first of the year

My only note would be for drums, that seem a bit too "robotic": not sure if the keyboard you got is (semi)weighted, but if not what may have happened is that all drum hits you played ended up having the same velocity Hi Rainmak3r You've guessed right. I think I even copy/paste the beats i...

Re: 01/22 - brand new song, first of the year

Nice song and sound! I liked the structure, the bridge and the solo. I also like your delivery while singing. Thanks for making the light shine in these times of darkness, indeed :( I'm glad you liked it and thank you for encouraging me in my singing. I took a quieter style, almost meditative, in t...

Re: 01/22 - brand new song, first of the year

Hi guys Thanks a lot for listening and sharing your thoughts! spamatica , I have a paid account in Soundcloud and I mastered this track using their mastering tools. It got vastly improved. At least I think I can take some credit in the preset choice :-) Rainmak3r , So cool that you found that "...

01/22 - brand new song, first of the year

Hi everybody, It's been a long time and I hope you're all well. I'd just finished a new song and did a video for it this time :-) The song's named "01/22" and it's a little different from what I've done before. It has a somewhat cold and electronic vibe, and it talks about some troubles ou...

Re: Zyn-Fusion is abandoned ?

I think Zyn-Fusion does not exist anymore with that name, but now ZynAddSubFX is having that UI. Personally, I have learned old Zyn interface, and after getting this new, have hard time trying to find things in it :-( Hi tavasti I made a mistake with the name. You've said it correctely and I correc...

ZynAddSubFX is abandoned ?

Hi everyone, I was wondering about the status of ZynAddSubFX. I have it installed and use it ocasionally but I find very hard to understand how to use it properly. The GUI is beautiful, but without a proper manual the whole software (to me, at least) become almost useless. I've been doing a lot of s...

Re: Dreams

The POD X3 is basically an amp modeler, so all I need to do is take the line out (mono, in my case) and use it as the input in my FocusRite Scarlett Solo, rather than plugging my guitar directly instead Great, so basically it's like an amplifier without a speaker. You have to put headphones to list...

Re: Dreams

Hi Rainmak3r Once again, great track. This time with lots of doomy vibes indeed, just as you told. I liked your vocal style, it has fit nicely with the song. Recording vocals is not easy, so congrats for showing up your voice this time. I hope you do more like this one. I was wondering how you'd man...

Re: Fragments

It seems the guitar really inspired you! A 9-minute instrumental thrash track!

Very good leads, and some strange-tempo riffing this time. It must have been hard to sequence the drums with Ardour.

Nice listening and very rich musically, as always. Congrats.

Re: The frozen alone (acoustic song)

Very beautiful harmonies, I'm surprised that it sounds so different from your other songs (at least the ones I've heard).

I remember some of them had great harmonies too, but I think this "baroque" style shows us better how a great composer you are.

Congratulations, great work!

Re: Captain Klonk

Very fun to listen, reminded me of Primus; The conversation in the background has fit very well. Creative, well-crafted and with a great sense of humour (at least to me) ! Primus, which, in turn, are (in my view) clearly Zappa-inspired. This piece kinda reminds me of some Zappa works! Absolutely, m...

Re: Tenaba - ragequit

Always nice to hear some metal. You did it all with digital tools? Even the drums? I suppose so. Cool.

Indeed it has a "nu metal" vibe, but you did it all in two hours right? So, It's more like an exercise or you think about it as a complete song?
