Re: Quarantine

I really like this one. It has an interesting push-pull feeling in the tempo, like a train slowing down into a station but it just keeps going on through. I kind of want to drench it in reverb so it sounds like it's going over the horizon. The global manipulations of social System... As if the mask ...

Re: Elegy in B minor for cello and piano (classical)

This is lovely. The cello sound is not bad at all. There is something about it that sounds like a da gamba, maybe the steadiness of the pitch or the way the notes cut off. It's time to start hunting for a live cellist! Finding one is one thing, convince them to play the piece a different t...

Re: No Fire, No Storm, No Rain

Nothing better than getting into the flow. :D

The song is really enjoyable. It's super catchy and everyone can dig that sentiment!

I wish the vocal was more prominent in the mix (maybe that's the style you want though).

This is fantastic and infectious music!

There are more us us than there are of them. If only we can keep it that way.

Re: Mixbus32C v6

Wow.

This is an absolutely massive update! A bunch of these changes have been on my wish list for a long time and I am really glad they are happening.

Mixbus is an amazing DAW and criminally underappreciated.

Very groovy and dynamic. You have a true knack for blending electronic and organic sounds. Is this something you think of in a deliberate way? I've tried doing it a few times but it always falls flat for me.

Soundcloud says the track was removed. :(

I think emulating is a great exercise. You learn how something works by taking it apart, and then you make it your own when you put it back together.

Adventures in S-T-E-R-E-O!! Psychedelic goodness. I especially dig the change ~5:42. That's a darn good live mix, everything is clear as a bell.

Presswerk and Satin are addictive, they should have a warning on them.

Re: jam710

Still 'unfinished' as far as cosmetics are concerned.. A bit rockier, undoubtedly. Uses the approach of mixing acoustic guitar and synths which is generally speaking humans and machines. I quite like this one. Something about the acoustic guitars makes it come alive, and I can't keep my tapping foo...

Re: recording EQ, compressors, etc plugins

The other point is about optimizing your time. If you record 10 tracks, and you need to choose between xxx plugins for every track, you lose time. If you commit to a sound, your hardware ''limitations'' will become your choice. That's a really important point. My 2 cents: if you want to do "as...

Re: Ardour Questions: How to start with right start screens?

You can also disconnect and reconnect to JACK (and/or from/to ALSA) after you start an Ardour session. It's a menu item called "Audio Engine" or similar.
