As far as I can tell, Native Access works with the bugfix, but at the moment wine needs to be compiled with the bugfix.
The last time I looked at Reaktor I got it running using LinVst and
Reaktor 6 (msvcp140.dll concrt140.dll dll overrides for Wine 2.0)

Re: Native Access
Well, I've got the current Native Access to run with wine. I had to hack into wine and force the volumepath which wine is getting wrong for some reason. At least the problem has been ID'd and can now hopefully be fixed. The problem is in GetVolumePathNameW in volume.c which returns "C:\\Program...

Re: Konami playstation keyboard-- usable for midi??
Ok, after a little research I think maybe the buffer was too small. I've added the changes we figured out to a new branch called kbmania. Can you check that out and try? You shouldn't need to change anything, just pull, build, run. I changed INTR_LENGTH 27 to INTR_LENGTH 256 and now the XBox wirele...

Re: Konami playstation keyboard-- usable for midi??
if its not too much trouble try with the -dbg and -v options. Its odd because it looks like its starting then gets a bad USB transfer by the look of it. EDIT: Did it work at all when you pressed keys or just immediately crash? This is where it may get difficult to troubleshoot through the forums. :...

Re: Any recent DAW comparisons?
I do realize that this is a work in progress, so maybe this is a stupid idea and the target is a single binary, but any chance the various embed/standalone/dnd options could be built into the same binary and selected by an environment variable? Maybe. For all of LinVst's existence, the standalone w...

Re: Any recent DAW comparisons?
I release binaries and they are for 64bit/32bit vsts. The binaries contain 3 versions, an embedded window version and 2 different standalone window versions. The standalone window version has an always on top window (which someone requested) but maybe some don't like a window like that and so there ...

Re: Any recent DAW comparisons?
I understand, but all those options make me (and possibly others) confused regarding which one to use. preferably you, the developer, selects the best one and focus on that. If I was going to package it, which version would be the best? hmm perhaps you can have a single makefile, and make this conf...

Re: Any recent DAW comparisons?
No one is trying to take your precious windows plugins away. dssi-vst is in the repos (or used to be) because it's quite old. smart choices made years ago, made it easy to build and use in the long term. We're getting to a point where linux native stuff is decent enough to make music, so devs are f...

Re: Any recent DAW comparisons?
I will never, ever stop using my beloved free 32 bit Windows VST's. I love them. And using them via DSSI in aa DAW or trying them out via the command line is super easy. I know that it has to be replaced by something as complicated as Carla or something as vague as linvst or airwave (brrrrrrr). But...

Re: Sfz vst SFZero
Yes, it's missing some opcodes and it would be great if you could contribute. Maybe I could edit in the changes directly to the SFZero that I have on my github or if you don't want to do that then there might be other ways. Just get in touch with me here or maybe even at github. To get started I'll...

Re: Sfz vst SFZero
Hi ubuntuuser, thanks a lot for working on this! I finally got around to trying this with Virtual Playing Orchestra. The basic sounds are working just fine. I found that usage of SFZero is much more simple than LinuxSampler, both in operating the plugin, and the resulting signal routing connections...

Re: Guitar Rig 5 advice?
Guitar Rig 5 runs pretty well with wine. Guitar Rig 5 was one of the vst's I tested for LinVst and I got very good latency results (using a low latency kernel) and low cpu usage on an old dual core laptop with built in sound hardware. Why you would have latency issues on windows I don't know, becaus...

Re: Sfz vst SFZero
Getting back to SFZero, I tested the memory using htop and Reaper with the Salamander Grand Piano sfz (over a gig I think). https://freepats.zenvoid.org/Piano/acoustic-grand-piano.html Without the disk streaming the memory used was around 2.5 gig and with the disk streaming version it dropped to aro...

Re: Sfz vst SFZero
github is just one of many git hosts out there, forget about "github client", what we mean here is to learn how to use git and not github specifically. There are a lot of tutorials out there, for example: https://www.sitepoint.com/git-for-beginners/ https://blog.udacity.com/2015/06/a-begi...
