Re: [SOLVED] rtirq "finer" tuning
CrocoDuck reporting: No advantages in disabling tlp and running on power supply: systemctl disable tlp xurns per minute stable at 3-6. The xrun per minute count living internet, ondemand governors, tlp and pusaudio active is more or less 10. So there is a difference indeed, but not so massive. I thi...

Re: [SOLVED] rtirq "finer" tuning
CrocoDuck reporting. - Killing PulseAudio: systemctl --user mask pulseaudio.socket pulseaudio --kill It helps: xruns rate drops to ~4 xruns per minute while recording with Ardour on this setup: /usr/bin/jackd -P87 -t5000 -dalsa -r96000 -p64 -n3 -D -Chw:USB -Phw:USB Still not enough, but good stuff. ...

Re: [SOLVED] rtirq "finer" tuning
Yeah, I think that this is pretty much all I can do with the laptop really. And to be honest I am pretty pleased. I mean, it is not that I have a very lightweight setup. I am running a fully fledged GNOME3 + TLP for power saving. Hitting less than 20 ms of latency is good actually, I don't recall ha...

Re: [SOLVED] rtirq "finer" tuning
See this answer from Rui: http://www.rncbc.org/drupal/node/850 . Uh that thread is interesting. Rui also said: there are only two special keywords: "snd" and "usb", which you know their meaning already; all other options might be sourced as a substring from what is found in the ...

Re: rtirq "finer" tuning
Cool. Thanks guys! RTIRQ_NAME_LIST="xhci_hcd:usb" This line seems to not be interpreted by rtirq. Instead, this one works: RTIRQ_NAME_LIST="xhci" After some experiments I found that this configuration satisfies me: # IRQ thread service names # (space separated list, from higher t...

Re: rtirq "finer" tuning
Not sure it is the problem, but try to boot with threadirqs enabled. Open/etc/default/grub with your favourite editor (you need root permission to write changes on that file). Add threadirqs to GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="other_options_that_were_here threadirqs" Re-generate gru...

[SOLVED] rtirq "finer" tuning
Hi there! For USB audio profit, I have edited my /etc/conf.d/rtirq to this: # IRQ thread service names # (space separated list, from higher to lower priority). RTIRQ_NAME_LIST="rtc usb snd i8042" # Highest priority. RTIRQ_PRIO_HIGH=90 # Priority decrease step. RTIRQ_PRIO_DECR=5 # Lowest pr...

Re: My audio interface doesn't work anymore
I had forgotten that it won't work on any of the ports on the rear, it has to be one of the two in front of the computer's case. Got similar issues both with USB and firewire. It turned up that the internal USB hubs / firewire stuff did not supply enough current for the interfaces to be powered thr...

VST plugins are working at version 5.5.1. Seems it was an upstream bug, now solved.

Re: [Arch] - Pianoteq 5 PKGBUILD
Ok Cool People!
The VST doesn't seem to be working on my Linux box. I guess it is a software bug. The PKGBUILDs for the pianteq trial versions are now in the AUR after some changes and fix.

[Arch] - Pianoteq 5 PKGBUILD
Hey there! I am working on a PKGBUILD for Pianoteq , my favorite piano instrument (so bad it is not open source...). I have based my PKGBUILD on this one . Re: [Arch] - Help with PKGBUILD - DISTRHO-Ports
Tested the vst in Renoise. Builds and installs fine, no path problem. it's good to publish I think. This being said, it looks like the LV2 is not needed anymore: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/distrho-lv2-git/ Thanks for the tests! Oh wow! I guess that guy is on the way to submit a VST package ...

Re: [Arch] - Help with PKGBUILD - DISTRHO-Ports
Hey there! Changed the names of the packages to the speps ones, so that people that have the spes ones installed can have them upgraded. Makes sense, right? Added lv2 PKGBUILD. Seems to work. # Maintainer: CrocoDuck <crocoduck.oducks@gmail.com> pkgname=distrho-vst-git pkgver=r336.7bcbc9b pkgrel=1 pk...
