Re: "The Truth." (all made with Ardour on Linux)

I like it :D I wasn't sure at first with the melody but I'm finding it quite catchy now! I like your voice. Great guitar part, I would have liked to have heard more of that throughout the track. And well done writing lyrics in your non-native language, very good. I've downloaded that bass plugin - I...

Re: Started creating music again - My most recent tracks

Welcome! You've got a great sound there, I like the production. I get the Floyd influence on the second track. Good stuff, I'll be interested to hear more :D

Re: The Wind and the Lake (classical / symphonic poem)

...someone studying in a music school will have devoted 10 years to that every single day, and that will always and inevitably show. Let's enjoy the little time we can devote to that passion anyway! I won't quote everyone but there are some great comments in this thread (merlyn/Milo/Michael etc) :)...

Re: The Wind and the Lake (classical / symphonic poem)

Very nice indeed. You are a talented guy :D

I enjoy listening to come classical occasionally but have no appreciation of composers etc. or of the intricacies involved, so the only thing I can comment on is how much I enjoyed it!

Brilliant! I love the music :D Unfortunately I can't comment on the lyrics (excuse my ignorance) but I'm a music first guy anyway. Excellent!

Re: How much RT optimization is still needed?

How about noatime, does it really make much difference these days? I've been using noatime with my NVME and mechanical array for a long time and I've not had any problems. I believe there are some apps that require atime but these are relatively few. I'm not sure relatime hurts much but hey, if I d...

Re: How much RT optimization is still needed?

As you can see, IRQ 47 is the busiest, even though I can find nothing immediately attached to it. I bet that it's a sound card. :) But I don't know how to find mapping between devices connected to xhci controller and their IRQs. Indeed. That's the conclusion I came to :) Thanks for the other info a...

Re: Moderation on linuxmusicians.com?

In my experience trying to capture that in a 'policy' just invites first endless debate about the policy, and then endless debate and complaining about any decision made based on that policy. This is the heart of the issue. You can't write an (unintentionally) ambiguous policy to manage grey areas....

Re: Moderation on linuxmusicians.com?

Those were just meta thoughts when I read the contributions here, not positions. The "Report Button" is very helpful. Apart from that, it might be a bit freer here on LM than anywhere else on the internet, that also has advantages and disadvantages. :peace: All opinion is my own (obviousl...
