Glad to hear these now work in Hydrogen! The delay plugin will be
real handy! As well as some extra thump and sizzle for various kit members

Re: Audio Recorder
maybe try with the limiter off, booster on, and a variety of padded/acoustic receptacles to act as volume filters/modifiers. There may be a narrow recording range for which the hardware was designed. Can the fuzz recording be induced when recording output of home stereo speakers at listening volume,...

Re: Jack not finding M-Audio Fast Track device
The Fast-track knobs and buttons have a unique proper positioning, that is not
what one would always expect. Might want to doublecheck the docs.
qjackctl screenshots of the Setup and Connect panels would be helpful.

Re: Hopeless Newbie
usually reading the qjackctl wiki, the jackd and qjackctl sections of the wiki helps, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qjackctl screenshots etc and youtube videos of ardour, hydrogen, and ubuntu studio often begin with qjackctl connections. put some mp3 player or similar on the soundcard line-in, so you...

Re: Best desktop for low latency performance?
I have E17 desktop, with kde libs underneath, and it makes for a beautiful
and easy to use workspace, that doesn't use much system resource, and is
very stable. I restart X from a menu, if I get things twisted. Maybe once a
month.

http://www.alexannesty.com/dx7s-restore-factory-voices.php dx7 factory reset etc has lots of google hits, a new battery would't hurt. Hexter loads dx7 sysex files, net banks mostly hold 32 at a time, Hexter hollds uo to four, and there are some great sounds, and you can run many Hexters, and route s...

Re: Hi from California, rediscovering an old hobby.
Quite a nice resume', all the old tricks still work, with virtual connections instead of cables. Yoshimi or its older version zynaddsubfx are great synthesizers, Hexter is a DX7 player (google sysex dx7 deckard, to get sounds galore) Hydrogen a sample playing 'drum machine' with few limits, rakarrac...

Thanks for the link, it really deserves to be a 'sticky' at some linux audio website somewhere. (hint hint, Nathan) I see the Boss Fx-Floorboard in the Sourceforge browsing article domain is up for sale, If you have thatsoftware, or an authors contact, it would be nice to keep it up for air, Boss ge...

Re: 12.04 ams64 : cannot install festige
One more idea for absynth, for those with working windows setup, overwrite the linux absynth install folders with those from the windows install. Perhaps absynth is detecting audio subsystems during a windows install, to list in its options field. I have only asio here, no option for wdm or direct s...
