Re: Dragonfly Room Reverb - Testers needed
In Reaper it is now much better! I hardly see any increase of CPU load with both plugins. Even if the GUI ist open. In Renoise it's still the old load of: Dragonfly Room 30% Dragon Fly Reverb15 % Here's my system: System: Host: fox Kernel: 4.9.0-9-amd64 x86_64 (64 bit) Desktop: Xfce 4.12.3 Distro: D...

Re: Dragonfly Room Reverb - Testers needed
Until ~1:00 there is no sound going through the plugin. With the Roomverb you also see the white bar bug. If you have questions or need more info, please let me know. The CPU load that you see in Renoise is the same like shown in Cadence. During your tests, is your CPU frequency governor set to &qu...

Re: Behringer U-Phoria UMC22 or Zoom U-22?
I would go for the Behringer as it has (in contrast to the Zoom) balanced outputs. The higher Sampling rate of the Zoom doesn't matter in the real world. Of course it only makes sense if your monitors have balanced input.
It also seems to work out of the box in Linux.

Re: "space"
Like it, sounds very 70ish. Could easily be from a 70s romance movie, but the chiptune sound doesn't fit well. Maybe it could work if it is more in the background, one octave lower and with some reverb? Mix sounds also quite good to me. Nice work!

Re: Your favourite Linux DAW's in 2019?
VCV Rack is not working properly on my system because of some graphic issues. I also didn't find time to learn it, I didn't get a single tone out of it until now. I'm curious what the next renoise update will bring. Hopefully sidechaining support and VST3 support. That's a shame about VCV Rac...

Re: Dragonfly Room Reverb - Testers needed
I tried it in Renoise: with Dragonfly Reverb the DSP load oscillates between 11% (normal) and 20% and with Dragonfly Room between 11% (normal) and 30%. But only if the GUI is open. With GUI close it's at ~11% constant. If signal is routed to the plugin the DSP is high independent of the GUI state (i...

Re: Something bit different: Possessed
I changed the samples, as most of them were not freely usable. Then I increased the cutoff frequency for most instruments and lowered a bit the ~300 Hz range. After directly comparing it to the previous version I realized that the old version sounded indeed a bit muddy. This is now much better. Than...

Re: New album released
I also have this problem usually, especially when playing around with e.g. compression. I simply don't hear much difference most time. I think I need better speakers for this and a treated room.

Re: The best Linux DAW's in 2019?
I tend to have two stages of the music I make, making and mixing the music, and then editing and mixing vocals. I have always used renoise for the music, for me it's very creative and I like the amount of modulation that's possible, control of details that you can have, the native fx, and the stabi...

Totally agree. Loudness war is awful. There are songs where the meter is at 0 dB and almost constant. I also try to avoid this.

The S32_LE was just an example. I don't know which formal is used by the alsa bridge or by pure alsa. Can you make a test with an AVLinux stick? Sorry, I can't offer any solution. Maybe tramp or CrocoDuck knows what might be going on? Or you ask at the KXstudio channel on IRC or Discord.

Re: New album released
No not at all. Where do you hear mud there? Isit because of your monitoring setup / lack of room treatment?

Re: Dragonfly Room Reverb - Testers needed
Just was testing the new Dragonfly Reverb and again the older Dragonflly Hall. With both VSTs in Reaper I get extremely high DSP loads. http://i.imgur.com/O5wcOgC.png Just the two reverbs makes Carla CPU load going from 5 to ~4o%. I never observed such a high CPU load. On channel 4 there is DF Reve...
