Ideas for Hiding Studio Equipment/Gear
Hi everyone. I have been doing some research regarding hiding studio equipment when using a room as a home office. Basically, I do not want any studio equipment/gear to be visible all the time when giving a home office a clean, minimalistic look. I did a search for rackmount enclosure; however, the ...

Re: Hydrogen 1.1.0 beta 1 release & 20 years of Hydrogen
I would like to feature Hydrogen around a 3:00 mark in my video that I made 9 years ago!

Re: Hydrogen 1.1.0 beta 1 release & 20 years of Hydrogen
When I started with a new music project in 2014 (after a couple years hiatus) I picked up Hydrogen for my drummer duties and use it ever since. Recently I switched to Drumgizmo and for one track programmed the drums directly in Ardour but it was really painful. So I found a workaround in his forum ...

Re: Synths similar to Razor with Dissonance Effects
What on earth makes anyone chose mp3, when it's such a crappy format with more artifacts than you can throw a stick at FTFY P.S. Why should anyone assume you'd want to listen to music related audio on a phone? LOL! I guess his iCrap does not play open source media content such as FLAC, WebM, and Og...

It's a complex sawtooth waveform. Firefox supports Ogg Vorbis.

Re: Synths similar to Razor with Dissonance Effects
Thanks for the list of software synthesizers. I was able to get the sound effect I wanted using ZynAddSubFX. https://graysonpeddie.com/res/sounds/doublethxeffect.ogg I used my AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT GPU for playback of 5.1 surround sound, so you should be able to hear it in all 6 channels if you have...

Synths similar to Razor with Dissonance Effects
I came across a video in YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCujIf5eJ2w From 16:19 in, I saw that there are a couple of additive/dissonance effects described in the video. I like how the harmonics were shifting in frequencies until it gets to a single note. Could ZynAddSubFX do that or is ther...

Re: Music Pattern Generator
Would be nice to have an installer for Arch Linux. I couldn't figure out what to do first when installing Music-Pattern-Generator in Arch Linux.

Re: Yoshimi V 2.0
Version 2.0 should do the job perfectly. At a first startup all the windows will be small, but you can resize them to whatever you want just by dragging the corner or sides. Everything will remain in scale. As you close a window it saves both its size and position, so it opens the same next time. T...

Re: Yoshimi V 2.0
Is there a way to make Yoshimi functional with a HiDPI display? The DPI setting for Yoshimi is unaffected when I have the resolution of 3840x2160 and the scale set to 200% in GNOME Settings.

Re: Pipewire and GUI
Instead of editing my post, I want to start a new post and tell everyone what I've learned so far. In a VM running Manjaro GNOME, I've replaced PulseAudio with pipewire-pulse and installed pipewire-jack. I also installed pipewire-jack-dropin from AUR and rebooted my system. Once I've done that, I wa...

Pipewire and GUI
Distro: Arch Linux DE: GNOME 3.38 Are there any GUI tools for configuring a sound card in Pipewire? I have my workflow setup as follows: For playing games or video with 5.1 surround sound through HDMI, I use PulseAudio. To set the sound card to HDMI and sound profile to 5.1, I do that in GNOME's Sys...

ZynAddSubFX and HiDPI
Any way to get ZynAddSubFX scaled correctly for 3840x2160? I'm currently running Arch Linux running GNOME Shell 3.38.

Re: New MusE logo
If the 3D harp gets replaced with something that is 2-dimensional, I might have to switch out the icon to bring back the 3D look. The new flat design does not sit well with me. Sure, anything that is modern is great and all, but that is like saying Windows 18 and 8/8.1 is better than Windows 7, beca...

Re: Anyone A Fan of Guy Michelmore on YouTube?
No one seems to be interested in his videos... Oh well. I guess the Linux musician community does not care about symphonic orchestra. I will delete my thread if no one is interested in starting a conversation. Not my place to bump my thread.
