Re: Rosegarden doesn't recognize midi devices
There should be a way to connect JACK-MIDI and ALSA-MIDI, I reckon. Yes, that's what the Alsa MIDI bridge does. It exposes Alsa MIDI devices in the Jack MIDI patchbay. Rosegarden will still not detect Jack MIDI devices (Zynaddsubfx included), because it all works the other way around (Jack can 'see...

Re: Rosegarden doesn't recognize midi devices
Hi, From your previous posts, I understand you're using the ffado backend. I'am not 100% sure and I cannot test this right now, but as far as I can remember, you might need the Alsa MIDI bridge running to have MIDI devices show up in Rosegarden. It can be started from Cadence's 'System' tab, 'Jack b...

Re: Exporting with tempo markers in Hydrogen
BTW is it possible to load EZDrummer sounds into Hydrogen? I really miss the sounds and loops you get with EZDrummer, but the step/song programming capabilities of Hydrogen are incredible. If I could combine them I'd never look back. Hi, I'm not sure about EZDrummer, but I use Superior Drummer 2 in...

Re: Call for Testing - JACK 1.9.9
I’ll give it a go. I’m using a Focusrite Saffire Pro 26. I don’t know if that’s relevant, as it’s been reported to work well with ffado for years, but I’m willing to help. I won’t be able to do much in that respect until Friday, though. The only trouble I’ve had with it so far was ladish- rather tha...

Re: Loading Windows VSTs within Carla
I know about that, and I could probably make the single-instance only appear with little effort, but the main problem is - how will it save (and then load) session files? I guess saving can be done via ladish SIGUSR1 signal, but we would still have to pass an extra argument to the app to set where ...

Re: Loading Windows VSTs within Carla
Hi guys, this is my first post here. The fact that the VST's that Carla loads cannot be used in ladish sessions is not entirely accurate. I am actually using one in a project. All it takes is loading it with carla-bridge-win32 directly (Application>Run custom… menu option). OK, it does not show up o...
