Re: Sudo

Makes me want to edit some system config files!

I listened to this a few times while driving home from work. It has a nice chill vibe. I really like the slow attack pad synth and the pitch bend sound.

Methinks the arpeggio is just a tad too hot in the mix during the intro before the drums come in.

Re: Banjo-basse Dub

Just getting caught up. This is an interesting DIY instrument. Thanks for sharing this. Makes me wish I could drive over and play that thing for a few minutes. Do you tune it in 5ths?

That looks fun! I haven't played with a bread board since high school electronics class, 25 years ago. Good luck with your creation!

Mint 18 is still old. Will it not run Mint 20?

Re: AVL MXE Linux and Touchscreens?

I have an all-in-one Dell Inspiron with a touchscreen, and the touchscreen has worked out of the box on every distro I have run on it over the years, including AVL-MXE. I think touchscreen support is baked into the kernel.

Re: Dreams

You have a nice singing voice. Like any instrument, you have to learn how to play it and practice it, but you definitely have the raw materials to be a singer. Keep at it! One of the frustrations of being a music hobbyist is the limitations of your own performing talent. If you are a soloist then yo...

I thought this was going to be a Linux Mint question, but it sounds more like a Wine question. Maybe try the non-Linux software forum?

Re: Conversations in Stereo - Episode 2

Interesting conversation once more! And it did remind me of "Mind Cavern", which I liked a lot at the time but had forgotten about. Did you ever post "Anywhere but here" instead? I think I would have remembered that, as I love the Beatles vibes there! PS: if your wife doesn't li...

Conversations in Stereo - Episode 2

I just posted episode 2 of the Conversations in Stereo podcast about home recording. This was edited, mixed, and mastered in Ardour. LSP sidechain compressor and noise gate were the most important plugins. I also used the conventional LSP compressor and limiter, and Calf Flanger makes a cameo at the...

Re: Hydrogen 1.1.0 beta 1 release & 20 years of Hydrogen

I first used Hydrogen in about 2005, and was very impressed with it even then. Thanks for all of your work to make such a useful tool. I have used it in many recordings over the years
