Welcome to linuxmusicians! I suggest you to check the wiki as it provides lots of information about good software and system tweaking as you said that you discovered jack recently, there are so many useful things around one wouldn't ever know!

I guess it's some java app, it should start by itself. You can also use audacity to slow songs without losing the pitch, and many other things.

Are you working with jack? You should select the right interface in jack settings and not in pulseaudio.

Re: Noob needs help configuring system. . .
Sorry for not responding, i've been kind of buisy in these days. 1) Pablo said all and everything. If you are still in doubt, open syestem -> administration -> users and groups, unlock the settings, select your user then go to the advanced tab: you'll see lots of stuff in here as for privileges - pr...

Re: Noob needs help configuring system. . .
Hi, i suggest you the following: 1) add your user to audio group (system -> administration -> users and groups) and edit /etc/security/limits.conf (sudo gedit /etc/security/limits.conf): @audio - rtprio 99 @audio - memlock unlimited 2) now select in jack configuration realtime (you don't need a real...

Re: KXStudio - Carla

It would be REALLY interesting..this made me think about adding the possiblity to load different racks in a single instance - let's say i have 2 inputs on m...

Re: KXStudio - Carla
Can't wait to try this! Having the VST's as LV2 would be awsome - i really like LV2 plugins. Anyway, i think you should get a default lenght for the meter - most important - and get in as much knobs as the plugin needs, then leave empty space if needed. Or mark the unused knobs as "not avaiable...
