I'm totally in. I can record piano and/or clarinet, or midi tracks.
It's important that the only reverb used in the DAW project is DragonflyReverb - but only as lv2 plugin and with at least 2 instances

Re: Cut Through Recordings Plug-ins available in LV2 Format

Hi everyone. I'm the creator of Cut Through Recordings and I wanted to chime in. I'm sorry for the controversy that this has caused. I develop all of my plug-ins using Dplug and I've been advocating for better linux support. In the last few years we've gotten VST, VST3, and now LV2 working on linux...

Re: Carla 2.0.0

Cool.

And when I do a "git clone" instead of a "git pull" then I get this fancy bar that displays jackd-parms and DSP load. Hooray!

Re: planet.linuxaudio mention in "Linux Music News"?

THX 8) I use the AddOn "HTTPS Everywhere" and was amazed about a "http" address. I think generally https is the better internet connection. IMHO Generally, https is a good idea. In reality the security approach is getting perverted. The most trustworthy certificate is self-signe...

Re: Focusrite Clarett now on USB! Will it work on Linux?

@nashimi That would be interesting to know any URL where it is described what exactly those "(to utilize) right settings," would be? I use an i24 Scarlett and I'd love to be quiet when going below 5.3ms :-) (now this thread that started originally only off-topic in this forum has become a...

Re: Are there affordable microphones that last for decades?

Thanks for the info. I have an external audio device (Behringer 404 w/ Midas pre-amps, they say the Midas pre-amps are pretty good...).However, I'd hate to use the 48 Phantom Power because on my audio device then all inputs have that phantom power. That means that I cannot connect a dynamic mic and...

Re: Are there affordable microphones that last for decades?

You can't compare an USB mic (builtin audio interface) with a "naked" mic. Aha. Do you mean that an USB mic has extra hardware built in so it can function as a "stand alone" device that does not need an audio card? That will make it's price higher. Or are there any other caveats...

Re: Are there affordable microphones that last for decades?

My Shure SM58 has been with me for decades, it's still the best mic for my vocals and it's designed for heavy-duty use. The USB mics I've seen and used have been poor contenders by comparison, but I'll be the first to admit that I've not kept up with the technology. Are you using your mic for singi...

Re: Are there affordable microphones that last for decades?

I currently own Blue Snowball iCE. I'm disappointed that it has short lifespan. I want an affordable microphone that lasts at least 15 years. I will plug it into Raspberry Pi 3 B+. It just needs to record my voice. Does anyone know such microphones? My son's USB mic lasts for some years now without...

Re: How to get microtones from a chromatic midi controller?

There are no microtonal features in the current MIDI implementation. I think it will change with MIDI 2.0.

In the meantime you have to accept that there are only MIDI note numbers and you have to do your microtonal stuff in the synth.
AFAIK Yoshimi can use microtonal scales. It's worth a try.

You have to select the correct event type with the buttons in the upper part of the midi editor window. Only the selected type can be edited.
