Re: Butterfly

I really like the cheerfulness. I also like that image too--it's really funny and put a smile on my face. Thanks for both.
I like butterflies too.

Re: Differences between the individual operating systems

For #3 (no unneeded services), unfortunately this is not always the case with Linux. Windows is definately not good for this, and Linux often seems to do better than Linuxes, but it depends upon which Linux you use, which version, and how it was configured and installed. I routinely test out a varie...

Re: Bela Boards: Interesting Low Latency Processors

I'd rather have a slightly larger size, 24-bit audio, fewer channels, and some more standard physical interface options. so, you probably should look at Axoloti Core board ) it's completely different, but does 24bit / 48 kHz audio and nas more connectors (and pins for yet more connections). Bela ha...

"Stop Harming Us, Set Us Free" new decent free downloadable tune

NEW TUNE AVAILABLE: "Stop Harming Us, Set Us Free":

https://hearthis.at/protozone/stopharmingussetusfree/

This is a free 320 kbps MP3 download.
There are no words in this tune; it's an older tune but it needed to see the light of day and the dark of night again.
Enjoy.

@Michael,
I don't know. Thankfully, the video is NOT one of those. It's just something kinda interesting that we don't necessarily see every day.

Re: Bela Boards: Interesting Low Latency Processors

Geez, that's almost too small for the likes of me. https://blog.bela.io/assets/images/bela-mini-launch/belamini.gif I like the idea of creating and selling custom hyphy audio jukeboxes. Miniaturization is kind of a b**** I'd rather have a slightly larger size, 24-bit audio, fewer channels, and some ...

Re: Alternatives to GRUB Customizer?

I'd add my vote for rEFInd too. It's what I use on my uefi machines too. It's way better (IMO) than grub... Note that you don't really have to use all the crazy grub 2.0 stuff, you can more or less make a simple grub 1.0 config file and still use that, this isn't quite evident from the documentatio...

48 kHz for the win.

Markus, I very much appreciate you bringing up a portion of very real reality, the quantitative time it takes to record multiple takes whether overdubbing or not. I work alone, and this is very much an issue for me. Even though most of my tunes are only 3 to 4 minutes long, tops, ready for tradition...

Rub a dub GRUB

Wow. Lyberta, thanks very much. Your experience that you briefly described sounds familiar to some stuff I've been through too. It's funny how some stuff is just really labor-intensive and high maintennance, and then other stuff in comparison is just a heckuvalot simpler! Thanks for pointing me in a...

[SOLVED] Alternatives to GRUB Customizer?

Can anybody recommend me a decent alternative to GRUB Customizer? I used to use it while on MX Linux, but I have since moved away from MX Linux due to system bloat. I no longer use MX Linux at all, though it was a fun alternative to the others for a while. I have a working system, but I need to edit...
