Re: New MusE logo

Keep in mind the name stands for "Music Editor". Hence the capital M and E.

Midi division fixes

Hello. In a previous post a user was trying to import a high-resolution midi file, which had linear time format instead of normal metric time format. I did some fixes which allowed the import to occur. I mentioned that he might get better resolution and accuracy from the import if he adjusted the Se...

Re: New MusE logo

Your other one above with the 'U' is also nice. Keeps the tradition.

Oscillator's 19b or 20 are also interesting but with those the 'E issue' occurred to me as well when I saw them.

Re: New MusE logo

OK, now you have my attention :) This one is obvious to conjure in one's mind from your suggestion, but seeing it looks interesting. I stared at it several times and... hmm... mmph... you know... like... yeah... something about it says logical, straight-forward, even obvious. I felt a strong feeling...

Re: I am surely a stupid boy

Crash observed. Thank you! It is caught in an endless loop inside my latency correction code, calling Track 5 which calls device jack-midi-0 which calls Track 5 which calls device jack-midi-0... and repeat infinite until crash. Unfortunately your MusE Settings are set to automatically open the last ...

Re: I am surely a stupid boy

Hi. Thank you for the posts. I am examining the files.

Apologies, I would like to request that you post one more file: The MusE configuration file.
This is found in your home directory under the hidden config folderr:
~/.config/MusE/MusE/MusE-seq.cfg

Thanks.
Tim.

Thought I'd throw this in for fun, since I recently put it all on a drive at hand.

Lol!
Wow, it looks real in the icon. I mistook the darker patches for... 'injuries' !

OT: Hey oscillator, your icon picture gives me the impression of a rough sea-faring person.

Re: Try out the brand new tabbed MDI style!

Ah, yes that might make sense. I built his code from scratch and it worked fine, but you pulled an update from git. I too will soon be pulling the changes into my branches so I will have an opportunity to test how that works. Thanks for the warnings and for all the trouble testing, maybe we'll have ...

Re: Try out the brand new tabbed MDI style!

Mmm, wait 'till kybos is back, see what he says.
These errors seem awfully strange, they seem not related to these graphics changes.

Re: I am surely a stupid boy

4- When I load a song from previous version I have a message saying it will be converted for the new Muse version. I click OK and back immediately to the desktop. Can you run MusE in a terminal, include the -D command-line option (Debug), then make the crash happen and post the text? (If you know h...

Re: Try out the brand new tabbed MDI style!

PS, We're aware of a nasty graphics bug, the hidden right half of the Track List in the Arranger intermittently flashes on and off depending where the mouse is. If I recall correctly, the bug depends on the chosen Qt Style in our Appearance Settings. Try another style. By the way we highly recommend...

Try out the brand new tabbed MDI style!

In git master now: kybos has created a refreshing change to our GUI style. This replaces the GUI Style tab in the Global Settings. All the 'sub-window' settings are gone. Instead, look in the Views tab for some much simpler settings. It is a modern tabbed MDI arrangement. He refers to it as a hybrid...
