Scrolling the pianoroll canvas vertically with keystrokes.

Erm, I can scroll the PR canvas Left/Right with the keystrokes H and L.

Are there actions for scrolling the canvas up and down?

There's nothing listed in the keystrokes window, but, you know, I may as well ask.

Re: Moving playback cursor by grid with shortcuts

Yes, it's accurate to grid, as observed in the big window.

Nice to know, eh?

Re: Patchance (JACK Patchbay) first pre-release

I used to be able to, and there was no midi either. I then reinstalled patchance several times to make sure it is done right and as a result now it is not even an option. Both cases did not have midi and in the first case I checked the box and still no midi. Do you understand now ? Ok, it is really...

Moving playback cursor by grid with shortcuts

A simple question, after trawling the manual, vids, and the interlink in general. Can I move the playback cursor, by grid, with keyboard shortcuts? (The intent being to camp in step input mode, and use the playback cursor to locate where I want the notes.) EDIT> After searching again, I found 'em, a...

Re: AV Linux MX Edition 23.1 progress

Glen, I'm rather fond of the current arrangement using JACK as the core of my setup. While I appreciate time marches on, and waits for no user, I ask the following: 1) If (and at the moment, it's likely) I remove pipewire and just stick with native JACK, will the pipewire deb package(s) remove a lot...

Re: Grouping sets of piano roll editors, or, add a track list

Quick answer to 3, not sure if you saw this: In the menu there is 'Next part' and 'Previous part', with hotkeys Alt+left and Alt+right. Use them to select which part is current among multiple opened parts in one editor. The title bar will change to show which part is current. Yes it could use some ...

Grouping sets of piano roll editors, or, add a track list

I've been doing some orchestral testing in Muse 4.2.1. 1) I run all my orchestral sample sets outside of Muse, in a standalone instance of Linuxsampler. I route midi out from Muse to LS, and i'm currently using about 132 midi tracks (1 articulation per track. It's a small template.) I then route aud...

Re: Rhapsody Player

Yep, seconded. I've been trying Bell and Bone this evening, and it's interesting. The plugin layout is excellent, simple and easy to understand. The articulation list takes the hard work out of trying to remember where keyswitches are, and importantly, what they are. I'm a fan of the Rhapsody/librar...

build error in LOS.

https://github.com/falkTX/los I'm trying to build a daw called LOS (falktx fork from oom) in a virtual machine (because it requires qt4) using Debian 10. I get this error during the build in two places (so far). /home/alex/Downloads/git/los/los/widgets/pcscale.cpp: In member function ‘bool PCScale::...

@runiq That is good info, you seem to be very well versed in the PipeWire arts! That said... for what little it matters I think I'm out... Upon testing I have nothing to criticize about how it works generally as you are pointing out it seems to have a lot of options for the End User to tweak it's p...

Re: Continuing the jack/pipewire debate...

Just one question at this stage of pipewire development, and in particular, for midi playback and recording. Is it sample accurate, like JACK? I see that wtay has said yes. I don't know if sample accurate makes a whole lot of sense for MIDI. At 120bpm, yes, every beat lines up with a sample. There ...

Re: Studio One - Linux version

Although, I think it is also true that software developers tend to be more linux-savvy than the average consumer, so it's not totally inconceivable that someone would support linux simply because they want to, or think they can... But I don't disagree that especially when it comes to larger compani...

Re: Studio One - Linux version

Or something unwanted is coming to the world of Mac and Windows, which will push the operators of the Audio side in the direction of Linux. Yeah, no surprise there. But what keeps amazing me is the amount of shit people willingly swallow that Microsoft shovels down their throats. And I don't see th...
