Re: youtube sound
Yes, there are other bridging options. I believe that the falkTX recommendation is the loop. "Works for me" is the most useless possible answer, but it does. More detail needed... Is alsa2jack there in Catia? Is it connected to your interface output? Are there any dubious-looking entries i...

Re: Need help understanding all of jmeters options
I think that the JACK-client name is entirely related to JACK and stipulated when JACK is started. Programs would only need to know it if you started JACK with something different.
(Or if you have more than one instance of JACK ((is that possible???)) running?)

Re: openartist
That's one hell of a list of included applications! There is so much choice for everything it is almost like a multi-media reference list. In fact, I checked out and installed a couple while looking over it. I think that list is the ones that are installable, not the ones that come pre-installed in...

As you have posted this under KXStudio, I assume that you are using KXStudio, and that you control jack with cadence. In cadence, in the JACK Bridges section, ALSA Audio, select Bridge type "ALSO->Loop->JACK" Click the nearby Start button (Start JACK first if not already started). You can ...

Re: How to use WINE?
... I can't find any info that makes clear exactly how to open an exe file. Like Windows, your system should know that certain files are opened by certain programs. Thus, it should know that Windows executables (.exe files) are opened by Wine. If this does not happen, then, in your file manager, ri...

Oh right, that's where Soundcloud has the edge - it's html5. Bandcamp does something odd with Flash... had t...

3.11? Catalyst?
My particular AMD chip, although only a few years old, is "leagacy," and I can't update beyond 3.2.
Oh well, looking on the bright side, I don't have to worry about USB audio drivers
