Re: Cut Through Recordings Plug-ins available in LV2 Format

I used to look through the news section for figuring out what to mention in the open source musician podcast. I guess I'll just have to do more hunting now. :\

perhaps we can tag news like headlines in each subform with a [NEWS] prefix or something

Re: Suggestion: VCV Rack section !

VCV has a forum of their own https://community.vcvrack.com/ I see many threads about it here, which is great, but they are not so many that I ever thought there should be a dedicated section for it. Most sections are either the official support forum for the project (musE, kxstudio, drumgizmo), or g...

Re: Github Microsoft/calculator README.md

very interesting! though from the comments, it appears that they were just having it phone home in a specific condition related to time zone changes to evaluate if some code was actually ever used. Of course though it indicates that this sort of thing is routine and even something innocuous may gath...

Re: First release of KPP Plugins for guitar processing!

They are resampled offline with zita-resampler with high quality setting. It should work good, I wrote this only as a precaution. I see. I would change that "don't recommend using 44.1Khz" to "I recommend using 48k for best quality (avoid resampling the IR)." or similar. Even th...

Re: First release of KPP Plugins for guitar processing!

wow what a great surprise! Thank you! 44.1 kHz should work fine, but impulse responses in profile *.tapf files are in 48 kHz format and will be resampled with some loss of quality. Are they resampled on the fly? If they are resampled offline you could use a high quality resampling algorithm that sho...

Re: Issues with recording with audacity + rakarak

Hi Pankh: first to answer your question: I think you have the output of audacity going through rakarrack. So guitar->audacity->rackarrack->speakers. You probably want to change this to be guitar->rakarrack->audacity->speakers so that you are recording the "wet" guitar signal. Are you using...

Re: Zyn-fusion MIDI channel selection

talked to fundamental and it sounds like the internal keyboard only sends midi channel 1 so when you change the engine its not surprising that it doesn't work. Not ideal, but at least that explains that part. Not sure about the rest.

Re: Zyn-fusion MIDI channel selection

kxstudio does package the fusion version now since it has been open-sourced.

Does that also break with the standalone zynthian? I unfortunately can't really test it here at work.
p.s. sorry to hear of your rough times, but certainly glad you are back!

There are 2 sound demos in the repo, 1 I found pretty impressive, the 2nd not so much. I'm curious to hear everyone's thoughts on this synth.
